The Avenues just posted a picture in their Facebook account of a new burger place that’s opening there called The Counter. It’s an American franchise with a location already open in Saudi Arabia. There’s always room for one more burger joint in my book. Here’s a link to their [Website]

I’ve tried this place and it’s good. You basically get a list of ingredients and you make your own burger i.e. choose bon/no bun, chicken/beef toppings etc
By make I mean you tick the boxes next to the ingredients and they make it for you
whichwich! I like
It’s perfect for people that are picky with food like me
That concept sounds a lot like Subway.
I guess. But don’t worry it’s a good thing
Tried it in Los Angeles and I didn’t like it. Worst burger place iv been to
Tried it in SD and it’s one of the BEST burger places I’ve been to.
I especially look forward to having a cold beer with my burger.
Such a tease…Stop! 😉

You need to try out the new Angus burger from Hardees !! It’s awesome !!
Uhhhh … No
The Counter is one of the best gourmet burgers on this planet, believe me. The idea is great, the execution (variety of ingredients and toppings) is great, and the quality is really superior. I’m hoping they will be able to keep the quality of ingredients here when they open
So sick and tired of franchise burger joints in this country. I guess it’s just a sad indicator of the general public unawareness of what real food is all about.
It’s not about real food! It’s about money plain and simple.
I’ve never heard of this burger joint before. That’s probably because I’ve been out of the US a few years. I wouldn’t open a burger place here with all the competition. Unless it was Five Guys, In-N-Out Burger or a Kuwaiti owned non-chain restaurant. I wish them the best of luck.
Is Five Guys that good? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcJFdCmN98s
this placed opened up in Houston but I never tried it … reviews were lackluster to say the least … Five Guys all the way
As if Kuwait needs any! 🙂
“There’s always room for one more burger joint in my book.”
I lurve that attitude. 😀
My wife and I wanted to try Elevation Burger for the first time and it either moved to another location or it’s temporarily closed till the last phase of Avenue’s reopens. Do you have the answer Mark?
Elevation Burger at Avenues is temporarily closed but they have a very nice location in Hamra tower open.
Worse burger place around
I guess most of these food chains open in Kuwait because customers are willing to throw their money without hesitation. I know that some readers will say that these burger joints, etc. cause obesity in Kuwait, but that is because the über-capitalist environment in Kuwait is thriving since 2003, which motivates every café, burger joint, brunch café, chocolatier, and pizzeria to open in the country. I find it odd that you don’t see most of these franchises in the US or in Europe. Believe me! I’m not complaining. Lots of restaurants means lots of options. I’m just awestruck by the amount of international, and even local, franchises that are opening in such a short time. Let’s hope that the next trend will be gym mania so that it caters to the healthy consumers and not just to the not so healthy ones.
Europe and USA are extremely large landscapes while Kuwait is ultra-tiny. Coupled with the fact that these franchises are paid a lot of money to open in Kuwait … its no wonder you feel the saturation.
Tried this joint in LA..really enjoyed their burgers, but still nothing beats FIVE GUYS their in a league of thier own!!
SERIOUSLY best burger place E V E R. not exaggerating.
Hi, do you know who owns the franchise?
The counter kuwait owned by kuwait food company
Known by Americana
Tried the Restaurant in LA and it was one of the best burger restaurant there!
I was initially skeptical of this place. I thought it was just another burger joint in Kuwait.
I saw tons of them in California, but never tried it. I did try in and out burger there, which I thought was similar in quality to McDonalds so I didn’t try any other burger places.
I can now say I’ve eaten at The Counter twice and I’m sold. What I love the most is that these guys cook the burger the way you want it, which is pretty rare in Kuwait because every place always messes it up. I like my burgers medium and both times I’ve been to The Counter they’ve gotten them perfect. For that reason alone I really like The Counter, but the fact is that the whole idea is that you should stack toppings! The topping selections are awesome and tasty and I love stacking as much as I can, including getting two cheeses, bacon, and the habanero salsa.
Plus, their birthday cake shake is insane. Literally insane. It’s so thick and sweet that I can’t finish it all in one go. They even put marshmallow flavored whipped cream which is to die for.
Love this place. I urge people to try it out, just don’t get well done. Never order well done. The meat quality is worth getting medium or lower and they’re consistent.
Unfortunately The Counter Burger is gone. Anybody knows why?
not enough customers because theres too much competition.
