The Onam Festival is back and will be taking place this coming Friday 28th of August. Onam is the biggest and the most important festivals of the state of Kerala in India and it’s also celebrated here in Kuwait. A few Southern Indian restaurants in Kuwait offer the traditional vegetarian dish the Onasadya during the festival and below are some of those restaurants.

Thakkara restaurant in Fahaheel, Salmiya, and Farwaniya. They are having special lunch for Kd 2.250 and take away Kd 2.500.

It is the old Zaika restaurant in amman street.
Cesars Dakshin is serving Onasadya (as per their advertisement leaflet)on 28th (lunch & dinner) and 29th (lunch only)

Woodlands restaurant in salmiya opposite junior indian school is also doing it at 3 K.D , its a small dainty restaurant just below my building but they cook mainly kerala cuisine and most of their dishes are just awesome.
Mark, make sure you go with your friends. the more people you include the interesting it gets. also try to get a peek at the traditional dance and the drums the takes place during the festival.

Curry Leaves Restaurant at Fahaheel is also serving Onasadya at 3.500 per head. I heard its a really good place even for other cuisines and might just go try it out this friday.
