I wonder why always running to foreigners to make us designs :S there are pretty good architecture firms here in Kuwait, why don’t they make a design competition and the winner will be paid and his design will be built …
Fresh grad architects, no matter how creative they are, getting the worst jobs ever just to gain some of what they call experience.
I believe to be creative you don’t always need 5 years of experience.
The architecture firms here do design a lot of local stuff, you’d be surprised
well yeah i know, and i like it i mean Souq Sharq / Marina Mall both of them were designed and built by local company as i think it is S.S.H.I.
Some architects are horrible!, Have you seen how they designed Jabriya Co-Op?(the one on the main street near McDonalds)and Bairaq Mall is just the worst!.WE NEED BETTER ARCHITECTS!!

This is just after Spoons complex (TGIF, Fatburger, Asha’s, Mais Alghanim) if you’re heading South to North.
“entertainment hub” and will have restaurants and gyms…yea! more restaurants is all we need in kuwait!
it is really sad that a place with restaurants and gym clubs is called “entertainment hub”…
how about some theatres, perhaps exhibition centres, not to even mention a proper concert venue. eh…

BTW guys, architecture is something to respect no matter whither its done by a local or an international firm. This was a competition that was won by gensler who did a great job creating this place.. also parking was taken in consideration while doing the design..
