As a kid, I used to see the newscasts where Arabs were just throwing rocks. Between this and the National Guard graduation, maybe they should stick to rocks and work their way up the technological ladder…..slowly.

This is an amazingly ignorant and discriminatory remark…You see one guy fucking up, and you call all Arabs technologically retarded????

so you think u r better than Arabs ? why the F you here then get ur ass out from here and earn ur bread and butter where u feel it suits u ! u discriminating rat !

I never said anything of the kind. I do not think I’m better than anyone. There was simply two postings in about a week highlighting mishandling of firearms.

dude come on – are we saying people in this region of teh world are NOT uncommonly stupid? So arabs are allowed to comment the same on their own people but others cant?

Hi Mark and raeders,

the first place u’d find is on soccerscene in kuwait but real madrid’s online website should have they deliver quickly i got my shirt in a week

There is a saying in Arabic…the loose translation is “a weapon in an idiots hand’s always hurts”…

It doesn’t matter whether its a sword, a rifle, or a butter knife…

And going back to your remarks Matt, when you say Arabs are technologically behind, you are saying that “others” are better, regardless of who you mean by the others… the remark is comparing Arabs to the rest of the world…

I will not make this an Arab vs. the west argument. Yes, we lack in several areas…but for gods sake.. grow up, and critique the person all you want, not several million individuals!

Oh yeah, the difference is HUGE! Its not like many/most kuwaitis are from Saudi tribes. There is no similarity at all. Cultures are totally different, the food is entirely different, the dress is different, even the accents are so different that most Kuwaitis don’t even understand Saudis. LOL

Seriously though, just go down south or east and you will realize that your statement only applies to a sub-group of “7adar” who live near and around the city. Most everywhere else is just like Saudi!

The Kuwaiti Arabic dialect is very different from the Saudi Arabic dialect.

My statement applies to all Kuwaitis: 7adar, Badu, Sunni and Shia. All Kuwaitis are not Saudis. Kuwait is a sovereign state with a different culture. Most Saudis do not celebrate ”Gargee’an”. We Kuwaitis have the ”Gargee’an” tradition. Also, most Saudi women wear the niqab. Most Kuwaiti women don’t wear the niqab.

Most Saudis follow the strict Hanbali madhab of Sunni Islam. Hanbalism is very strict and ultra-conservative, Hanbalism is closely tied to Wahhabism.

Most Kuwaitis do not follow the Hanbali version of Islam.

Most Kuwaitis live near and around the city. Most Kuwaitis live in the ”Capital”, ”Hawalli” and ”Farwaniya”

232,727 Kuwaitis live in the Capital

213,025 Kuwaitis live in Hawalli

224,535 Kuwaitis live in Farwaniya

There are 1,242,499 Kuwaitis in total

Only a minority of Kuwaitis live in ”Jahra”, ”Ahmadi”, and ”Mubarak al Kabeer”

167,404 Kuwaitis live in Jahra

262,178 Kuwaitis live in Ahmadi

142,374 Kuwaitis live in Mubarak al Kabeer

In Gender By Nationality and Age and Governorate

All the numbers are there

News Flash: 80% of Kuwaitis are originally from Saudi Arabia! Even the 7adars like the Al Kharafis and the Al Ghanims are from Saudi Arabia. The Al Sabah family is also originally from Saudi Arabia. The rest of the Kuwaitis are from either Iran or Iraq.

News Flash: 80% of Kuwaitis are NOT originally from Saudi Arabia.

30% of Kuwaitis are Shias. The CIA, US Department of State and numerous other media organizations and intelligence agencies have confirmed that 30% of Kuwaitis are Shia Muslims. Most Shia Kuwaitis are originally from Iran.

This means: 80% of Kuwaitis are NOT originally from Saudi Arabia. Because 30% are Shias.

100% – 30% = 70%

70% of Kuwaitis are Sunni Muslims. Most Sunni Kuwaitis are of Saudi origin.

Anyway, Kuwait is a sovereign state and Kuwaitis are definitely not Saudis. There are many differences between us: the Kuwaiti Arabic dialect is very different from the Saudi dialect.

Most Saudis follow the strict Hanbali madhab of Sunni Islam. Hanbalism is very strict and ultra-conservative, Hanbalism is closely tied to Wahhabism. Most Kuwaitis follow the Maliki madhab of Sunni Islam, which is much more liberal than the Hanbali madhab.

Qabazard,

Don’t turn this into a sunni-shia thing. We are talking about ethnic origins. There are sunnis in Iran, and there are shias in Saudi Arabia. I have a shia Saudi-Kuwaiti friend from the Al-Rasheed tribe. So your argument that 80% of Kuwaitis are not originally from Saudi Arabia because 30% of Kuwaitis are shia is retarded. Another retarded argument you make is that Kuwaitis have different dialects than Saudis. Within Saudi Arabia, Nejdis and Hijazis also speak in different dialects. So, are they not Saudis?

80% of Shia Kuwaitis are of Iranian ancestry. So my argument that 80% of Kuwaitis aren’t of Saudi ancestry is not retarded.

There are also Sunni Kuwaitis of African ancestry and Iraqi ancestry. Not all ”Badu” are originally from Saudi Arabia, many ”badu” are originally from Yemen, Syria and Iraq.

I know there were Sunni Kuwaitis originally from Iran, like Al Awadhi, Al Kandari and most Failachawis (people from Failaka Island) but most Sunni Kuwaitis are of Saudi ancestry.

Probably 80% of Sunni Kuwaitis are of Saudi ancestry.

Hejazi Arabic sounds like Egyptian Arabic and Najdi Arabic sounds like Qatari mixed with Egyptian. Both Hejazi and Najdi dialects are different from Kuwaiti Arabic.
