The Fort (Al-7esn)

the fort

Anyone remember this Japanese TV show that they used to play every Friday morning on KTV1? It used to be called Al-7esn and the Arabic voice over was done by a guy called Ryadh Shararah. Here is a site with more pictures, info on all the characters and details of all the games. [Link]

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

It defined my Friday mornings…Along with (I don’t why) 7ikaayaat 3aalamiyyah, Sinaan, and another cartoon I can’t remember…Aaah, the good ol’ days..

this is the most original, ingenious show ever created…i watch it in montreal now on skype tv but an english guy is doin the commentary..funny as hell

I loved that show, I used to go to my grandma every friday because we didn’t have arabsat in our house back in 1995, then I would switch to cartoon network , OH the good memories !!! thx for the reminder mark

FUCK YES.. MARK MAN.. YOU BRING SOME OLD MEMORIES…I used to watch this in beirut.. long time ago.. Riyad Sharara.. yes.. 3ati’a ya mark.. i loved the “wood and paper doors” game.. also the walking on the lake..

I loved that show! I wish I could do it because I always thought I could do it better then them! And I still think I can! hehehe

I wonder if its still going and if we can participate in the show!

Oooolaaaaaaaa Sha5bary! i have around 20 to 25 of those small vcr tapes related to al-7esn. i got them from Al-Wessam company. love that show!

haha – this show is AWESOME! Back in the States it is played late night for all the college kids. They call it “Most Extreme Elimination Challenge” and it has the most hilarious voice overs! The show was originally filmed in the 80’s in Japan – too bad they don’t still have it!

Yes it was called Takashi’s Castle. I think they still show it on Spacetoon. Also it is on one of the Indian sat channels for kids.

I remember thinking I wanted to go to Japan just to try out the games like…
*Running up the slope with the big foam rocks rolling down!
*The maze with the doors that would open into water.
*Running across the bridge with footballs flying at you.
*That weird thing where you slide down a rope and you have to land on a mushroom.

I will go one day – if it is still open.
