This increase is only as a result of 4G. When will the fiber network finally go live in the rest of the country 🙁
it’s being spread now, our area had it for the last 2 years unfortunately still not everywhere in kuwait.. Kuwait is lagging so much

Asian internet speeds are known to be higher than in the US and Canada. Japan and Korea have super fast internet.

Im with Gulfnet right now, and in the last few weeks it became so bad that most of the time my download speed doesnt reach 40KB!!!!! and im using fiber optics.
Same thing here. Gulfnet was awful for the past few weeks. I think they started throttling torrent speeds, but everything else just became super slow as well.
Made the switch to Qualitynet. Not bad, way better than Gulfnet, but not amazing. We got the Gaming package which sometimes lets us get pings as low as 120 ms in League of legends.
WIMD is pretty good depending on your area. I actually get the speed I paid for and the upload is really quick as well.

8.25 Mbps? Very funny! That would be awesome speed compared to what we’re getting right now. It’s like paying for premium internet but getting Dial-Up speeds…
I currently live in MBK and i have installed the fiber optic’s yesterday, hopefully by tommorrow it will be activated.
procedures to installation:
there is a box “ALCATEL” installed behind the stairs, or wherever it is at your home = look for it.
Head on to visit “Burj Al Tahreer” in Kuwait City, the new building or just ask where to go to install the Fiber Optic’s.
The new building, 3rd Floor – Left side – enter.
You will find tables with young staff experienced enough to help you out.
Personal Experience, i had an amazing experience dealing with the staff over there, very friendly and helpful alsio topnotch follow-ups and execution on activating the Fiber Optic’s.
Furthermore, after activation of your fiber optic, make sure you contact your internet service provider. Mine is Quality Net.
And ask for them to also help you out in proceedures, as you will need to go to X-Cite and purchase either “Net Gear AC-1300+” or my preference is LinkSyS AC-1300.
