Last month I posted about how Americana is bringing Red Lobster to Kuwait. Well I just found out the first location is scheduled to open up in April 2011. No word on when Oliver Garden will be opening up yet.

aaah,, i’m really hungry at this moment 🙁
I’m going to have Chinese for lunch 😀
Ah I promised myself I would never have Chinese again after eating at that Red China restaurant..got food poisoning, that ruined Chinese for me as now whenever I see the food I feel sick. Its on 6alabat I would highly recommend that nobody order from them.
As for red lobster! YIPPEE! Taco Bell and now them! Hands down two of my favorite restaurants from the states, can’t wait.
Please dear God no Olive Garden, no watered down Italian for suburban Americans, no card board pasta, no bland sauces, no rubbery veal, no sawdust flavored parmesan… PLEASSE!!!
I agtree with Zaydoun both olive garden and red lobster are nothing to write home about. Let us talk about shake shack
Man you really should get rid of your taste buds soon ! These are crappy chains in today’s world of creative gourmet chef inspired restaurants. There are so much better alternatives !
Ana 9ayma lat shawgooni!!! Lol
…and a small, teeny part of me died when I opened that post…
@.@
yalla waiting for it !

They should open more fancy Mexican and Spanish restaurants.
RT @zaydoun Please dear God no Olive Garden, no watered down Italian for suburban Americans, no card board pasta, no bland sauces, no rubbery veal, no sawdust flavored parmesan… PLEASSE!!!
i hope not in malls… 🙂
Olive Garden is shit, and is perfect Americana caliber. Red Lobster is half descent actually. I can see Americana butchering the concept though.
Ana met2akda etha red lopester ba6eloh bel kuwait ra7 eseer aghla mn amreka ebwayd, o olive garden 9arla sneeeeeeeeeen mawjood bamreka tawa lekuwait ye97on o eyebona!! Bs methl magelt ra7 eseron aghla mn amreka
o shbab el kuwait nag9en t7oshhom om el rbyan ?LOLOLOLOL
im not trying to be cool about it .. but studying abroad really makes you hate these restaurants, both olive and red lob are cheap restaurants that serve shitty food. In kuwait you know where the best food is at, Mc Donald’s:) .. I wish one day those americans try out kuwait’s mc donald’s
Please don’t tell me another fastfood restaurant?what is wrong with this country??? Why are there no proper privately owned normal restaurants, and I don’t mean the ones in hotels. Have a look at Dubai, the most amazing, mouthwatering restaurants you can think of. About time the kuwaities can experience that too!
oh god .. not another franchise !!
I second Kathink, we need more local talents opening their own inspired restaurants
Stop with this trend now because
1- it will not taste as good as it does in the states
2- it’s gonna be more expensive
3- part of the fun when you travel is to experience new food joints/ stores in that particular country .. now all this fun is GONE they wanna bring everything here to kuwait and then what?? how can this country turn into something unique if we intend in making it the exact copy of other countries
down to american franchise .. YAY to local talents and restaurants
Hello, It is great to know that such a respectable restaurants chain will sooner come to Kuwait, as I knew that Americana company will handle it,
First it is not a fast food but it is a wonderful casual seafood restaurant, serving a variety of Omega 3 loaded food, and also they have chicken, beef and a lot of vegetables and salads,
About the price let us wait and see and I really doubt that the price might be higher than US, and what I am sure of that the prices will be very fair,
If really it will open in Kuwait sooner I will be no one guest because I had visited it in the US and I am proud that my country is number one outside US to have this great concept,
They serve good food and beverages and they do have a great variety of menus which can fit every one,
We have to be fair with them and wait for the real thing to happened before pre judge negatively about them,
If Americana give us TGI Fridays in a better quality than USA then I am sure they can give us Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Others within the same quality or even far better than USA,
By the way you can Know more about it throught the following URL link:

enjoy…

To E.mero, all the restaurants you mention are Low end /high volume fastfood chains where everything is deep fried and served in oversized portions. I don’t want to become the size of the avarage American: groosely overweight and being diabeties. I love going out for dinners but having all the food fried with piles of chips on my plate is not my idea of an enjoyable meal.
