Aramex discount

Aramex just sent an email out saying that packages over 10KG will benefit from a 30% discount. Sounds cool but in the 9 years or so I’ve been using Aramex I don’t recall ever shipping anything that heavy. How about 30% discounts on all packages no matter what the weight for customers who’ve been with Aramex for 9 years?

My go board arrived yesterday and it cost 47KD. That’s more than what I paid for it on amazon. 30% discount sounds good.

Aramex will be doing everything possible to ensure your package weighs LESS than it actually does (for once)… 🙂

hi , i recieved a package through DHL , and i found that they got back to calculate the cost according to the volumatic weight again , no more actual weight.

Well Aramax sucks!! yesterday I got an sms saying that my shipment was 5.5 Kd, So when I got back home, I saw an invoice of 8.260KD!! I was shocked.. according to the person in shop and ship “Our driver made an error, he is suppose to charge you 6.5KD” well, my question is where is the rest of money.. still waiting for the phone call ARAMEX PPL!

Dude, I’ve just registered on Borderlink.com but they didn’t ask me to pay for the account?

They gave me the 2 addresses (US and UK ones) and asked me to “start shopping”, I thought there was like a $30-something payment for the account.. Am I lost, on the wrong website or what’s going on? >_<

Also, I've been using Aramex for a long time.. Is Borderlink(DHL or whatever) is the best for shopping online at the moment? What do you guys think?

Lolo , When Aramex SMS it only contains the freight fee which is base don the weight. On delivery they add the customs duty ( if aplicable ) and the KD 1 per package Kuwait Grease Fee. Thats how it all adds up. The delivery guys are really good and could do with a small tip, even when we are unhappy with all the add on fees.

Ooh Aramex x x x

I’ve a shipment through Aramex.. and still in Ardeyah for 10 days now!!! it takes my shipment 2 days to reach my mail box in the U.S. and 10 days held in Kuwait airport imagine! and still they don’t know when it will be released “it’s only an iPod so what is the big deal!” I am so frustrated from ARAMEX 🙁

i’ll also buy my knew Trek road bike on SnS now 😀 it’s carbon and ultra light, around 7.5kg, but i think it will weigh around 10 with the packing.. Amman roads.. here I come 😀

I think Mark explained in another post how it works. Volumetric weight is used only if the item is shipped in a huge-ass box.
I picked up my shipment yesterday from DHL and they charged me by actual weight.

Loyalty program, sounds great! I wonder what Aramex would say?

yeah MARK good suggestion bt they won’t do it ehehehe
i just found out that they charge u an extra 10KD if ur order is above 300$, they say it’s a valuable item what so ever! it was just a freakin’ hand bag!

Lola must me referring to the “regular Aramex Courier Service”. The Shop & Ship member rates are tabled and are based on package weight, not commercial value.

when i ordered my beloved SSD’s they were around 600$, pass customs like a charm, as they were small babies, i think you can order jewelry hehe

@Lina, Amman Roads and a Bike ? where are you going to drive ? up zahran road across the round abouts 😀 ?

shouldn’t ARAMEX try and introduce a rewards program for loyal customers like ‘airmiles’. wouldn’t it be great if you could cash-in your points for free shipments or give customers with a certain number of points a membership upgrade that entitles them to a special shipping rate.

yes dear, I know the total cost is 6.5? but can you explain the 8.650? plus I got another sms today about the same shipment that I already recieved and I also recieved another shipment a magazine for 3KD. however, no news about my change…

Plus a tip is a voluntary extra payment, which i would be more than happy to give when I feel the service is outstanding..

yes…a reward program is super high on our agenda for 2010…will keep you all posted and hopefully get some good ideas from you too! feel free to drop me a note anytime on this…

Yeah, they SHOULD introduce some sort of reward programs, that works on how many times you’ve used Aramex, not how long you’ve been using it (in you’re case Mark, youve been using it ALOT for a long time!)

yup, rewards program. should be based on how much you’ve spent. I know I’ve spent over 1,000kd on shipping alone in less than 1 year.

Hmmm, just waiting on a package that Aramex said shipped on Feb 2, but their website tracking hasn’t updated anything beyond “Shipment Record Created – Full Record” and it still shows my package as being in New York….insha’Allah….
