Linda Lou who used to host the morning show on FM99.7 passed away three days ago in North Carolina. I think Linda was the host of the morning show from at least 2003 to 2013, I’m honestly not really sure since there isn’t much information online. Here is a link to her obituary where you can also read and share a memory.
Update: She hosted the breakfast show from 1994!

I was listening to her every day while I was driving.
R.i.p
I think Linda used to be there in the 90’s too. I remember Linda in the morning on my way to school.
I second that. There was definitely a Super Station FM 99.7 radio host with the same name during the mid 90’s.
It’s probably her, 2003 was just the oldest post I found about her online but she might have been hosting the show a lot longer. Maybe someone with more information will let us know.
Well, my oldest memory of her is of middle school, prior to that, we use to have Dr. La Bouche. I wonder where she is?
Anyways, DJ Linda was an unintentional, but integral part of my morning, on my way to school. And may her soul rest in peace.
And by middle school, I mean 2001-2003.
Oh yah I loved Dr La Bouche …
Dr Bouche is here followed by her wonderful laugh -that was the intro to her show
*good times*
Would be great if we knew where Dr La Bouche was these days
Heartfelt condolences and prayers for Linda. May her soul rest in peace.

Rest in Peace Linda; yes she was around in the 90’s, one of the original DJ’s that started out with the super station and truly dedicated to her job. Can’t remember a day going by when she never told you to buckle up and be a good driver. In some ways I do miss her and her soap box 😉
Sad News! I used to hear her voice every morning on the way to office. Rest in Peace Dear Linda, we’ll always remember you.
Oh no, so sorry to hear this.

So Sad. May comfort find your loved ones everyone liked Linda….
I remember her during our commutes to school! She was a like morning ritual, always on the radio. RIP…

RIP Linda.. 99.7 wasn’t the same when she left…
May her soul rest in Peace. Yes she was on air in the 90’s too.
I recall her as an RJ and not a DJ.
So sad to hear that, after she left the station hasn’t been the same. RIP Linda…..
Very sad news! RIP Linda ❤️
Sad to here.. I remember while going to office in the mornings listening to her lovely voice and laugh. Always reminding ‘ to drive safe’ . 99.7 wasn’t the same after she left… RIP

There is a Gofundme site to help her family with funeral costs: https://www.gofundme.com/f/helping-linds?fbclid=IwAR1eFAWIPlxoxboPLyINxB4vYwkIs-eBvprdl3yNSBg6FTVkEZ8gkK635nY
Lands and I started at the station together and for sometime I cohosted with her on the breakfast show. We had so much fun! Linda had a kind soul and was very caring reminding us all at the end of each show to make sure we had our seatbelts on and the kids were buckled in. She touched the hearts of so many.
RIP Linda Lou 🙏
Remember listening to her whilst driving to work. Enjoyed her show tremendously. May her soul rest in peace.
Anyone knows if there is any recording of her on 99.7?
May her soul rest in peace
Rest in Peace. Linda.
Linda used to host the radio show way back , used to love listening to her show. Always had positive upbeat and kind words . She was brilliant to listen to. Sad to hear she has passed away. Rest in Peace and thanks for your contribution to this small country.
I left Kuwait in 2015, but she was an integral part of my morning drive from Salmiya to Mina Abdullah to my work. She was such a positive lady. Really made my day!
Are they still playing the song “It wasn’t me” by Shaggy on this station?
Really nice memories and her charismatic laughter. R.I.P. Linda.
