Preparations are currently underway for the epic fireworks show thats going to take place on November 11th 10th here in Kuwait on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the constitution. Speaker systems and projection boards are being setup all along the coast starting from the Green Island and going all the way to the Kuwait Towers. They’ve also started setting up the fireworks which reportedly is costing over KD4,164,000.
The event company behind this epic show is Filmaster MEA who’ve also worked on other large scale events like the Turin 2006 XX Olympic Games (opening and closing ceremony), the Juventus new stadium opening ceremony and the UAE 40th National Day Anniversary.
This so far looks like an event that shouldn’t be missed and will probably be the biggest show that Kuwait has ever put on.

Any idea what time it’s likely to start?
Finally a well spent 5 million
Lol all the comments on that post are WHY DON’T YOU GIVE US 5 MILLION INSTEAD THANKS
AGREE! Finally the government starts spending money on national pride.
How about they start spending on the development of the country? There are a plethora of issues that have constantly been ignored by the government. This is such a waste. Not surprised one bit.
The parliament keeps voting not to, blame them
The spent millions in fireworks in 2011 for 25/26 Feb.
*along the coast not cost š
Where would be the best spot to see the entire show ? Did they setup public area to watch it
The show will be good to watch on the beach nearer to the Apple bees restaurant beside the kuwait towers
Should be a national holiday.
Need to know the start time!!! Any idea?
Must be nice to spend almost 5 million on something that goes up in smoke within seconds, why not use it to get Kuwaiti citizens out of debt instead? What a waste!
assuming the average debt of 10,000 KD, the 5 million will get 500 Kuwaiti citizens out of debt.
Because debt is not the responsibility of the government to erase and doing so has negative long term economic effects
This ^
+1
I think these KD4,164,000 can be used to fix some of Salmiya’s or Hawalli’s streets which can’t be even described as streets considering how bumpy and broken they are..
pffffffft. LOL. do you know there’s a place called Hassawi?
Go Kuwait! The only Arab country with a working constitution since 1962. We Rock!
not really working these day apparently.
It is, despite what the dual citizens say.
there is some confusion of date too bro..before i read it was on 10th of Nov and you had mentioned 11th of NOv..plz could you re confirm the date…thanks
“constitution”
“democracy”
LOL
What’s so funny
To those who think this is very expensive, top notch pyrotechnic displays and the crew required to control them are VERY EXPENSIVE.
The biggest show Kuwait has ever put on… I wouldn’t be too sure about that unless you choose to disregard the opening of Shake Shack at the Avenues or the Richard Branson monkey act on elephant back at the launch of the Virgin megastores in Marina Mall before their grand closure.
Pretty sure there will be plenty of the Jahra-set at
the venue to keep up the pestilence going.
The whole is greater than the sum of the parts…. a bit of civic pride would not go amiss. Maybe someone could start a campaign to love Kuwait and stop littering and start appreciating the environment too!
LIKE!!!
THIS IS ALL JUST A COVER UP!!!
All this is actually for my birthday.. *blushes*
Turning 23 on 11/11 .. I accept all major credit cards ;P
If the Government stop showing up to the rest of the world and donates the money to Africa or somewhere else and feed the dying people there then “maybe” this act will bring them internal peace….
Well i don’t hate Kuwait but the attitudes of it’s nationals are just rediculous…. KD4,164,000??? or maybe 4,000KD and the rest in whomever pockets it went through…
God bless Kuwait…
You obviously have no clue whatsoever as to the amount of money Kuwait gives to other countries every year.

check this link and also the table. the fire works are a drop in the ocean compared to what Kuwait donates.
Any chance to know correctly date and time of the show!
Can’t wait! The National Day firework display was AMAZING! I’ve also heard different dates. But for sure time will be after sunset last one was around 8PM. With the numbers of people that will be attending probably best to get down to the seafront area early to stake out a spot. Take a blanket, chairs and a picnic. Woohoo!
as far as I know it’s been moved to the 10th of Nov
I don’t know if the youth over there will go crazy about the fireworks display or the tens of thousands of women spectators present at the venue.
Ensuring good civil behavior from 20 something local youth is always such a challenge.
