Is your package ready to pick up at the post office? Find out online

For those of you who’ve ever ordered anything by regular mail you know that once it arrives to Kuwait you can’t track it anymore. Usually you wait a few days and then head to the office to check and see if they’ve received it yet, if not you then have to come back again another time. Well thanks to a reader I found out that you can now track your package once it arrives to Kuwait via a web application that is intended only for MOC use. Here is the [Link]

My cousin had send me a HP Laptop from USA to Kuwait via USPS. I was worried whether the laptop would reach me or not after reading all the negative reviews of the Postal system in Kuwait. The fact is that it is not bad at all. It’s bad that they do not provide home delivery. Most of you thought that it would come to your home and were waiting for two months! My cousin had shipped it on 20 July 2019. It went from there to London on 25 July 2019. And it reached Kuwait on 28 July 2019. 29 July, I checked the status of my package at tracking.moc.gov.kw/english/ and it showed me the parcel has arrived at the Mail sorting center. Since my tracking number starts with C, I had to go to Alsideeq Post Office. I also contacted the person at MOC to ensure that my package is there or not. Then I went to the postoffice by 4:45pm. The staffs are great and speaks English well. I had to give my tracking number ( very necessary). Next they brought my package and asked my Civil I’d and also told me to sign two papers. Next they took the package to the custom officer, who is just two tables away. They opened the package, saw what was inside it and told me to pay 2.5 KD customs and paste a 1KD stamp. That’s it I got my parcel just within 9 days!

Anyone uses post office any more?!! Or are they another blood suckers sitting to give you a call to come and pick up your own damn package or letter. Rest of time they won’t even do that.

Blood suckers, as it’s a department with no work. Does anyone even bothers, how much is their productivity viz-a-viz the expenditure on infrastructure and pay roll? Who uses snail mail anyways?

My friend send me package he sent on feb 18 when she was in UK.. and then she said she check in postal UK.. delivered on March 18 your package in kuwait. but i didnt get any package.. Im waiting for the tracking number to give me.. its almost one month.. pls contact me in my email adress thank you..

I just want to know can I use the normal post office instead of posta plus which has the worst customer service and/or aramex etc.. would you know if there’s a price difference?

normal post office is regular mail so its ridiculously cheap but it takes a lot longer to get to kuwait and then you need to pick it up yourself.

I have used the local air mail here a lot more than the private companies the likes of Aramex, DHL etc and here is why. Turns out that the mailing system has improved a LOT. The problem however it still have a bad reputaion which sadly it is stuck with it. When you order your stuff online it does come on time and not late. The problem as to why we get packages late or have no clue about them is the lack of communication and this can be from either party that you did not put in your full information or the mail service couldn’t call you and relies on you to come and pick up the package without you knowing if it has arrived or not.

Packages of any kind do come to your local mail area. So ex, if you live in Surra, you would have to go to Surra’s mailing service to pickup whatever it is you ordered. However, if you wanted to send stuff out, you have to go to the main HQ either in Mishrif, Salmiya or Hawally to send your package as these are the main HQ post office that you can send your stuff. Yes, they all arrive to the destination you wanted to send. Regarding if the local mail service handle the packages properly, they do and you would have to inform that to them as well. Before it was shitty but now since they have new managment, it has improved. The only problem is like I said, lack of communication and also their work office hours are from 8-2 which makes it difficutl to get out of work to grab your package.

I confirm this. I’ve been in Kuwait for about a year and have ordered 60-80 packages from China by surface mail. While it takes 15-60 days for the packages to arrive, the shipping is usually paid for by the seller or is rarely over KWD 2. There is absolutely no customs charges.

Despite the long wait wait times, every single order that I have made has arrived. There has been no missing packages and my local post office is very good about calling my phone number within a week of the package arriving. Yes, it’s slow but dependable.

By the way, the postal hours suck but luckily I have a messenger at work to retrieve the packages.

Yep. But keep note, that realistically packages do arrive on time. This is very true but like I said the problem as to why it takes so long is the lack of communication. What I normally do is I I would keep tabs on my own calendar and a rough estimate as from when the package has left destination X. Once it leaves that place, from here I would count the estimate days it would arrive here. The last parcel I got arrived exactly 7 days from the UK priced at $120. And I did not lose it. Best part it wasn’t damaged, it got handled very nicely with care, and shipping cost on my part for the service was zero KD. All I needed to do was provide my civil ID sign on the receive doc and be done with. Yes, the postal office ‘VISUALLY’ looks like shit and gives you that sense of zero trust but fact is, it works perfectly.

I can provide detailed info and proper tutorial on how to go on about this. The reason why I decided to go and take a leap of faith in using the local mailing service is because I am DONE with the shenanigans and costs the likes of DHL, Aramex or any other service for that matter and charging ME extra for weight or volumetric weight (whatever). The costs is absurd and I asked myself that while they are privatized company they STILL have to go through gov customs and then when we ask them “Where’s the package? Their answer “It’s not in our hands, it’s in customs.” So therefore since they too would have to go through customs, I figured “fuck it”. Did it without their help and it works!

Also FYI, if anyone decided to using the local mailing service, make sure that talk to management in putting out your voice to make it count on how they can improve their service. Yes, they actually do listen, you just need to be a little bit more optimistic and have faith in them.

just received >kd100 worth of goods (9kg gross weight) from germany in 8 days which was posted through DHL Post (NOT courier service). shipping charges kd.10 which was paid in advance.

used this site https://kpis-kw.com/ to check the status in kuwait. use the local tracking number which DHL Post provides.

paid 1kd (stamp) to the kuwait postal dept and another 2.5kd to GLOBAL CLEARING company. looks like they are behind the nice service that is being provided now. and zero customs charges. amazing stuff and yes this is in kuwait. thank you MOC.

Does anyone know the location of post office in Surra? I send my packages to Fintas/Ahmadi but when I have been called to visit Surra, Block 4. I couldn’t find the post office there 🙁

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Today, I got my packages. The post office is in South Surra. It is Hateen Post Office. It was quick and easy, of course after finding the post office. We just went to post office in Surra and they guided for the rest. BTW, working hours are 8:00-12:30 and 16:00-19:00. Sharing my experience in order to help new comers, like us.

Let me share my experience. I had ordered a SurfacePro laptop from a relative in US. He sent through USPS priority international. It received Kuwait within 7 days. The https://trackings.moc.gov.kw/
page didnt show my parcel number, which started by CH. I visited the Keifan post office on 18th they said it not available. I met one of the porters there and gave my tracking number and phone number. After two days i get call from this porter and i get my package. So i had to pay extra 3kd to speed things up, apart from 2.5kd +1kd stamp. In Ministries this is how things are working, what a sad state of affairs.

Does anyone know another link to track parcels sent via post, as the one provided in this initial post is no longer valid.
Tracking.moc.gov.kw doesn’t seem to provide any information

My friend from Canada ordered an item for me here in Kuwait from nba.store (US.)and the store shipped it trough Landmark Global. Its been two months and until now I have no idea where to find it.Since I’m leaving here in Fahaheel, Kuwait, should I got to our local post office to require?

Please if Anyone can help me until now I’m still hoping that I can receive those package my question’s is we’re can I get those package and my relatives send by post office I can get in the post office also I track the package and it arrived here in Kuwait I don’t know if they deliver or what Any help please thank you so much

I just came from the central post office ,tracking number is very important cause,once they got your tracking number they can advice you where you can exactly pick up your package. I believe the tracking number depends on the size of the package.

I hope you get yours. I also have a parcel via Royal Mail and my friend forget to put my mobile number And either i dont have a tracking number. I was told to check on central post Office .Way back 2010 they deliver my parcel at home.

My parcel package arrived at october 17, 2017 and they contacted me on october 21, 2017 but i didnt notice that it was already the parcel who txted me because its in the arabic language. I ordered an item through Ali Express and found that item has arrived at 45 D.A.Saleem through the tracking on the MOC Website. Can anyone tell me what Post office is this and where is it located.

I ordered stuff from amazon through deutsche post in september, and i dont know if i can check online if the parcel arrived in the mail or not. My tracking number starts with L so it means its supposed to be in my local post office but i just wanna ask if its possible to know online if it arrived or not
