Roads Closed Today

The map above is of all the roads that will be closed to day because of the First Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) summit which is being hosted in Kuwait from October 15th to the 17th.

The roads will be closed from 10:00am to 2:00pm and from 4:30pm to 9:00pm today.

Expect traffic. A lot of traffic. I have a flight at 9PM tonight so no idea what time I should leave and what roads to take.

Thanks Rula

Update: Left my house around 6PM. Fahaheel Expressway was packed so I took the 4th Ring Road all the way to the 60th to get to the Airport. Took nearly an hour because of the amount of traffic.

I’ve posted the routes and times on my blog. Man you better get there early coz Airport roads (50 and 51) will be blocked.

. Motorway 40 from 5th Ring Road to 6th Ring Road

. Motorway 50 and 51 from 5th Ring Road to 7th Ring Road (including airport section)

. 7th Ring Road from 40 to 50 . Road 206 from 50 to Bayan Palace

. The road closures will be in force from; 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 21:00 on Monday (15th), Tuesday (16th) and Wednesday (17th)

Mark my parents are flying out at 9PM with MEA. He called them and they said he should go from Ghazalli Road, you will see the runway on your right (i think), keep going until you see Cargo sign, that will be your entrance. It should be OK. You call your airline & they will tell you 🙂 Good luck!

i Actually traveled on Road 50 from city to khaitan at 11:30am and travel back from khaitan to city at 2:20pm. no problems, no closed roads, in fact it was way less traffic there then usual days.

Take the 4th or 5th ring road ( i prefer the 5th ring road since its bigger ) then take a turn at road 55 (shar3 al matar) and you’ll get there without any blocks.

Was any part of 5th ring road part of the block? Some guys were insisting that a part of 5th is blocked but I don’t see any information on this block.
