According to a friend of mine the sinkholes on the King Fahad Highway (40) are being caused by ongoing pipeline projects. They’re micro-tunneling under the 40 passing pipes from one side of the highway to the other and because the ground beneath the road is not stable it’s creating sinkholes [1,2].

No!! Its the expats.
Dude. You’re becoming obsessed with those sinkholes lol
…….
lie. it’s a portal which aliens made. they have hidden something deep inside the hole.
Mark, I tweeted you picture of gunshot happened in kuwait and marks in da car via ur twitter
I don’t think a friend is a valid source! But the idea is plausible.
unless his job is related to it.
Obviously which is why I posted this
I wouldn’t have expected micro-tunelling to have caused this; in my experience the tunelling done properly is supposed to avoid this kind of damage! I’ve only done it a few times back in the UK, but we would push the pipe through around the auger, in order to prevent causing voids. I can only think that the contractor is using too much water for the sandy soil, but [sarcasm] contractors in Kuwait are usually such high quality [/sarcasm].
Anyone else notice the high-quality substantial barricade around it? A single lump of wood, probably fallen off a passing truck!
Let’s deport all sinkholes.
Locust!!!
