Types of Mail and Delivery Places

If you get snail mail from abroad and you have a tracking number, then you can follow the guide below to figure out where to pick up your mail from.

I had someone mail me a package from the UK (Registered Mail) and the tracking number started with the letter R. It took less than a week to arrive from the UK. Originally I was told it would get delivered to my office but after waiting a few days I decided to go pick it up myself. Because the delivery address was Kuwait City, I dropped by the post office in the city to see if my package was there. When I got to the post office, instead of asking me for the tracking number the guy just asked me which building my package was mailed to and then headed to the section corresponding to my building. There were a few baskets there and he just looked into one and pulled out a package and asked if it was mine. Oddly it was actually addressed to my office but to another workmate. All the packages in that basket were actually for the same guy at my office. When I told him no they weren’t mine, he took my tracking number, went away for a minute and came back, looked in the same basket again and pulled out my package. He told me to take it along with the other packages for the other guy at my office. I was like sure and I signed a few papers and got them.

I asked the post office guy if they deliver those packages and he said yes every couple of days. My guess is its probably more like once a week but nevertheless, I was still impressed that I was able to get a package from the UK using regular mail and have it in a weeks time.

I had ordered some makeup products from the US last November, And the tracking says that the parcel is in Mail Sorting Center since December 7th. Can you please help! What should I do? I have visited the post office several time.

Thanks Mark, this is very useful. I was gathering the courage to have something shipped via EMS rather than Aramex, and this really helps the case.

At the moment I am trying to figure out how to send parcels from Kuwait using EMS, I think I am close. 🙂

I should have known this info would be here already. It appears you can send EMS only from a handful of locations, one of which is Mishref which is closest to me. Thanks again.

My sister sent me a handmade Christmas card in the 1st week of December 2017. I have not yet received it from Kuwait post (regular mail).

How about mail that is addressed to a PO Box, where does this mail end up? I have 3 packages that are not received since November……….

I have a package expected from South Africa. Ordered since last October. Tracking number starts with E. So I’ve been to Hateen 3 times so far and package is not there. I don’t think it’s entered kuwait at all. Any tips on how I can locate it? The supplier considers the shipment gone when it reaches a sorting office in Johannesburg. If anyone has any tips I’d appreciate it.

How do i get my shipment?Will it be delivered to be after sometime or do I need to go to the post office to take it?It has been a long time since I ordered the shipment from USA. I tried to track it online, It has been said that it is here in Kuwait since Febuary 27. Please help me thanks.Godbless

I just hate the postal services here. Many times my friend from Germany send packages but did not arrive. Even simple post cards and letters I can’t received. Regular mail has no tracking number. So it is so hard to check if it arrive in Kuwait. I wonder what do they do with all the lost mails.
Even I have used company address with PO box but still it wont arrived.

Hello folks hope somebody can guide me on this 😁 I send a package from Ireland to Kuwait last March 21 , 2018 to my cousin who works in Alsawagh, Qurain .The tracking says It arrives in Kuwait on April 1, 2018. But until this time April 26, 2018 still not delivered .Could someone. Please advise me to where my cousin can personally collect the parcel?

How do i get my shipment?I tried to track it online, It has been said that it is here in Kuwait since June 12. i called several time they number but nobody answering , this is supposed to be delivered to door to door in accordance with my payment

Just a quick question if I want to send parcel to Canada from here, do I have to go to Kaifan Postal Service office and the parcel should be wrapped in cloth is it a must I m not sure.

I ordered from AliExpress since January, but now my item was still not delivered to my home.

A friend did international signed from UK royal mail. Starts with R.

One arrived July 3 and is saying Kuwait mail sorting center. Other arrived July 9.

How long will it take to go to Mishref post office.?

Where can I pick it up before it is transferred?

Hello, My friend sent me some documents from Royal Mail UK on 26th July, I checked the MOC tracking site it says the parcel is in Kuwait Mail sorting Center, I live in Jleeb Al Shyoukh and my friend mentioned the Address as Jleeb Al Shyoukh, but till date I did not received a single call or any updates other then a status on their website that it is in Kuwait mail sorting center, can you please tell me which post office I have to head to in order to collect my shipment? Since I live in Jleeb, I am doubting that my package might be in Farwaniya post office

No, till now my package is not arrived. I have visited their office in Abdullah Mubarak 3 times already but they say the items are stuck in airport and they will call me once they arrive. Been more then 7 days I didn’t received any call from them. This is the worst expereince I ever had. In their office they have written down phone numbers of receivers and they ask to search your number in those ugly papers and if the number is not mentioned then it means your items are not arrived

I am receiving a shipment from Russia. It showed that it left Russia on July 25th. Tracking number shows it is in Kuwait mail sorting center but when I go to the post office they say they didn’t receive anything. I am still waiting to receive it. Where is this kuwait sorting center?

Usually it takes long for it to get out of the kuwait sorting center (Because its getting checked and they deliver i assume once a week or even longer)

my order arrived to kuwait in August 10 and it just reached my post office August 31

So keep tracking your parcel, till you see “Send item to domestic location” that means its at your post office but i recommend waiting 2 more days to make sure then going

In late February I ordered some clothes online, I’ve been checking on any updates ever since. Last week all three shipments arrived in Kuwait. Says to me “Arrived at delivery terminal”. I’m assuming this is the last stage and final leg of delivery. I think it’s just taking long because Kuwait’s delivery process is very slow and we’re in a pandemic. Also, should I go grab it from my local postal office (its R type mail)? Or should I wait for them to deliver it to my house?

I would like to ask why my parcel in Australia get stuck in kuwait custom. It arrived last 20th of April until now not yet deliver.

I was thinking why it’s about 84 days never delivered in my address. It arrived last April 20th in Kuwait sorting center. Every day I tracked it so I will know where my parcel now. But never get updated. The type of parcel is A.. still in kuwait sorting until now. Can you able to help me out.

Last January I received my parcel also from the same sender and it arrived very fast.

if you parcel gets reflected in the below official website then only there is a hope that you will get the item.

Don’t expect that they will deliver the item at your doorsteps, you need to visit the local post office , where your parcel will finally reach.
Showing your civil id you can collect it.

All that possible if your consignment gets updated in the above mentioned website.
