This weekend was pretty busy at the Avenues. First the boring stuff, iHop is opening a second branch at the Avenues, this time in phase one. I can understand why we have so many Starbucks, I might be able to understand why we have three Pinkberrys, but I really don’t understand why we need two Shake Shacks and now two iHops.

In other news, there was a fight at the Avenues this weekend this time involving girls. You can watch that video above although its not very clear. On the other hand there was a guy walking around casually with a large dead lizard. Thankfully Avenues security called the police and had him escorted off their property. You can watch that video below.

ihop, what a waste of time! I have never seen any customers at the exisisting one.
I think they’re opening the new ihop so the can close the older one. the old one has nice location and is empty most of the time.
as for the lizard man, he was not escorted off the mall.. he was actually taken to the police station where they released him with no charges.
to get to the police station you would have to leave the mall which means he was escorted out of the mall.
Afaik, there is a police station INSIDE the mall.
escorted off the mall generally means that the security escorted the unwelcomed person off the premises. reality is… they escorted him to the mall’s police station, where the man was taken by police to the police station in the residential area across the mall… where he was processed then released.
so it is big deal for such silly act.
i’m not sure why you’re picking on words, the guy was escorted out of the mall, doesn’t matter if he was taken to a police station or to mcdonalds.

i used to love going to the avenues, i seriously went every single day. not anymore, that place is a freakin hot mess asylum.
agree. I stopped going to the avenues too. last time i been there was some seven or eight months ago! probably more than that. last time i been there i only walked into one shop and left immediately.

Well, after spending some time in Toronto I can’t even imagine seeing someone smoking indoor.

360 Mall has paid parking (most of it). Not sure if it has meant there are no similar incidents.
the ended up being 2 tranny’s and a girl! The girl was dating one of the tranny’s and got jealous. Perfect soap opera for this country!
