The other day I shared a video that was circulating of a rat at a local supermarket. In an interesting and unprecedented move, the baladia have gone and confirmed the incident in the viral video. BUT, they didn’t mention the supermarkets name!

If the incident did happen and the supermarket violated health codes shouldn’t the public be made aware of what supermarket this is? [Link]

In Qatar, the municipality doesn’t care whom the company belongs to , I have seen them shutting Starbucks , many restaurants in 5 star hotels and many many restaurants and to shame them they publish their names with the reason for closure !

Honestly, I think it’s the big sultan center in salmiya, this is because in the video I saw that lobster thing they have close to their kitchen area.

you are absolutely asking the right question. the videos were absolutely disgusting and almost made me throw up. i dont get how defamation is the biggest issue here when there are 100s of people there everyday, buying their groceries.
as much as i used to love this place, im never visiting any of their establishments again.
So it is okay to teach your kids that Ratatouille can be the best chef of the world and live his dream yet it is not okay for a rat to mind his business in salmonella, e-coli and half stale meat laden stores?

We all know what this supermarket is without even mentioning the name, bad thing though is that as a person who grew up in Salmiya, I had some pretty good memories there, gonna be sad to see it get closed down (IF it’ll happen).
The shop is Sultan Center near Marina mall, did noone know? Its at the hot food section (the worst part about it, they serve cooked food that is ready-to-eat).
The most ironic thing is they had a celebration a few days ago with the ambassador of the USA, in the exact same supermarket. Funny.
