Hooligans Chase Away Cops

copschased

A friend sent me the video below which according to the uploader was recorded just a few days ago. Not really sure what started this incident but in the video you can see the cops being chased away by some young men who start throwing bottles at their car. Later in the video the riot police show up but they get welcomed with green laser beams. Check out the full video below.

Update: Video has been removed by the uploader.

Hooligans? You’re supposed to be an unbiased media outlet. They are protesters regardless of what you think. And, respectfully, as a non Kuwaiti you cannot call protesters hooligans.

I am not sure if you watched the video before it was pulled but there was no protesting in it. It was just young guys who looked like they had been racing in the streets and then started attacking the cop cars once they arrived. If they were demonstrating I would have called them “demonstrators” but in this case I was just describing the actions I saw in the video and I think my choice in using the word hooligans to describe young people throwing bottles and attacking cop cars as fair.

They are Hooligans. Actually no, hooligans is to gentel. They are incompetent idiots and deserve to be slapped.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Stop protecting them by labeling these animals as ‘protesters’. They are hooligans. Little punks even that just love to create havoc.

I’m not defending them, I hate protesters

I’m against the protesters and so-called ”opposition”

and there comes another idiot .. you haven’t seen the video have you ? Did it cross your mind that it might not be related to the idiots “protesting” a few days back? And yes, anyone attacking a police officer in such way is a hooligan as you can see in the picture. Too bad the laws here don’t protect the police officer. Any other country and that same officer would have shot and killed all of those idiot.

Stop defending these idiots. I have no idea what they’re protesting for/against but if they’re being violent and behaving the way they are then they don’t deserve any respect or even an audience,

Pelting law enforcement agent(s) and state owned property with objects which could have been stones as well and you think hooliganism is a wrong / strong adjective?

I’d label them miscreants with intention of aggravated assault, preventing a police officer to discharge duty, vandalism, misdemeanor, damage to state property, threat to life etc…

The Protesters here are hooligans. The are not protesting peacefully, the brake everything on their way, burn stuff, throw fireworks at police, thus making them hooligans 🙂 ur welcome.

Well it doesn’t matter where you’re from, you CAN call someone who does this, a hooligan, a vandal. This is not protesting.
I wish you guys would get this through your thick heads.

Acts of violence and destruction will never be recognised by the general public as, “protesting.”

Apparently he actually can, and for some reason this is getting up your nose 😉 Non Kuwaitis are allowed to have opinions, no matter how much it annoys Kuwaitis who feel they’re the wrong ones.

You can be a protestor and a hooligan, although I will agree that protestors are often dismissed as just being violent.
That doesn’t mean they can’t actually BE needlessly violent.

القهر باچر كلهم راح يقدمون على الداخليه على بو شهاداتهم متوسطه

I’ve seen the video, towards the end it wasn’t the riot police Mark. It was some trucks that carried food to the riot police so that they could eat before the prayer.

The video was probably removed because it made the ‘opposition’ look bad. Throwing rocks, bottles, anything they could get their hands on; at the traffic police. Who had nothing to do with the event except attempt to make traffic flow more safely.

God bless Kuwait and the Amir.

The cops here are a victim of their own actions. If you try this stuff in cops in most other countries that will hand you your ass. Hell if you spit on a cop in the US you go to jail for assault. Then again you don’t often see cops in the states texting while driving, playing on their laptops while driving, pulling women over to get numbers, running code to get through traffic or red lights, cutting people off and demonstrating most of the bad driving habits they themselves are supposed to stop. You reap what you sew.

Has no one ever heard of a violent protest? Havoc? It’s a protest not another invasion. This is happened as a result of the arrest of ex-MP and one of the leaders of the opposition movement, Musallam Al-Barrack.

I love your readers Mark, they love to over analyze and complicate a minor incident. Hahaha.
