Interesting Kuwait Music

Nawaf Al Gheraibah

Nawaf al Gheraibah, is a half Kuwaiti, half Indian/Portuguese musician with a pretty weird music style like nothing I’ve heard locally. It’s not mainstream stuff so not sure how many people here will like his music but even if it’s not your style it’s still worth appreciating. My biggest criticism though is the fact that I think his music lacks a local identity. When I listen to the music it sounds like a lot of different things but none of which sound like the songs originated from Kuwait by a Kuwaiti.

Anyway his songs are all available for free to download on his [Website] and Facebook page. I found it a lot easier to listen to the songs on the Facebook page so check it out [Here]

Great music..just by listening to all his songs, Nawaf shows us that he has potential. Great to listen to while busy at work or just chilling in a relaxing atmosphere.

It doesn’t need a “Kuwaiti” touch to become great in Kuwait or anywhere else.

Just give him time and inshallah he’ll be very well known to the public.

Great job Nawaf!

Out all the artists that have been shown on this forum, Nawaf has my utmost respect and admiration, now THIS is what my ears and head call music, I am a huge fan of anything that sounds remotely folky or melodic and this really gets me interested in his style, I would love to meet him and pick his brain on this music I really like it alot!

I hope he finds success and what he enjoys doing and wish him the very best in his endeavors !

very good music to trip on.
and a lot (by a lot i mean not even close to comparison) better than that other weird chick with the niqab and songs constructed from her fucking childhood dreams. 🙂

uhhhhh he’s half Kuwaiti and half Goan (I assume) – why would his music have to have such a one dimensional feel as being only local?
