Why did he leave? Did he get deported for crossing a red light?
Just joking!
The profession on his iqama probably didn’t match what he actually was: future leader
Future Intelligent Leader
For the last 3-4 years whenever a Multinational is in deep waters….they run to an Indian origin candidate to head the organisation to bring it back out of the red…..Citibank, PepsiCo, Vodafone, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, MasterCard, Unilever, Adobe and now Nokia……Why is this trend…..????
Coz we’re awesome? 🙂
Of course we are:)
What about Microsoft? Don’t think they were in deep waters when they got Satya Nadella for CEO
Once in a while we don’t mind working for companies that are steady too :-P.
What a ridiculous statement.
1 in 7 people on the planet are indian.
wow the Manipal alumni salary expectation just touched a new high!
Damn! I almost went there for my master’s degree. Now I don’t have an excuse to demand a raise 😛
wow…Microsoft acquired Nokia and now both have Indians heading them Satya Nadella and Suri
Who the hell writes on their wikipedia page that they own a 1 million rupee watch and drives a maseratti?
I don’t see that anywhere?
Random Fact no.2:
Still a proud and loyal Nokia user 🙂
Still have my Nokia N82. Till date nothing can match is flexibility and ease of usage (apart from it tiny keypad). People have asked me to sell it, but I cannot part with it. Possibly the one of the best phones ever made.
Best Nokia ever made was the Nokia 3110 https://www.donmobi.ru/photo/maxi/nokia/3110.jpg
I also used to have a cell phone website back in the 90s which is still up
https://unex-t.com/fusion/
No doubt, the 3310 was the bomb when it came out. People be like “a phone without an antenna??!? :O ” Hehe.
I loved the Nokia 8910i as well, and all the 8 series phones.
I wonder if any of his classmates or friends from Kuwait are still around!
Yup, a few are around. Just got info that he studied in Salmiya Indian school.
wait which one is that? this is pretty cool lol
That school is now called Indian Community School.
Satya and Suri studied together at MIT.
I wonder what would he have become if he was working in Kuwait…
…Wait I know , Probably working as an Executive still for Viva / Zain for 250 K.D
On a serious note, what is the average salary for executives at zain/wataniya/viva ?
Executives at kuwaiti telecom companies earn nothing short of 5k/month and fat bonuses/stock options.
5k a month seems good .. 60k a year, no tax.. not sure who wouldn’t be happy lol
There are Indian CFOs, CEOs etc in loads of Kuwaiti companies, probably earning 250KD a day.
The Indian Business Council in Kuwait should be looking at hosting Rajeev Suri and Satya Nadella together for its next leading expert access program LEAP key note address. They just might get their speakers to do these sessions for gratis. Wonder how much did Adi Godrej charge them for his key note address in Kwt City recently.
