Timelapse of P2BK sand sculpture being built

Preparations are already on their way for the upcoming Proud 2 Be Kuwaiti event that will take place early next year. The above video is a timelapse of one of the sand sculptures that was built for the event which looks like its going to be even bigger than last year. Sadly some of the sand sculptures got damaged during the storm and the P2BK instagram account has two videos showing the damages. [YouTube]

proud to be anything that isn’t the result of hard work or skill sounds kind of redundant to me. People are arbitrarily born to their parents, in their country, with their citizenships. It’s like saying I’m proud to have two eyes – pretty stupid when you think about. Why have pride in something out of your control.

When you DO actually think about it, ‘proud to be x’ doesn’t actually MEAN anything of value – it’s just a fancy slogan that ppl like to put out there to signify how their real estate and culture are superior to others because of their arbitrary birth into it.

That sucks, I bet it cost a fortune to build those only to be swept away and the rainy season doesn’t even start until Dec 22 which means more damage is possible. Maybe they should have been covered them up until time for the event considering it’s still a few months away, another example of poor planning? So, what’s Plan B?
