After Dubai and Riyadh went live on Snapchat last week, it’s now Kuwait’s turn. According to an instagram post by Viva, Snapchat will be live in Kuwait tomorrow… but theres a catch. It will only be broadcasting snaps from Ahmadi. What this means is that snapchats taken in the Ahmadi area will be eligible to go live but not snaps from the rest of Kuwait. No idea why Snapchat chose Ahmadi but I guess it’s better than nothing.

They probably chose Ahmadi because they know that if its from any other place, all people can snapchat about is from in or around a mall.

They chose Ahmadi because it’s the most populous governate in Kuwait. I really think that they got their info from the outdated Wikipedia page on Kuwait. They prolly didn’t know that AlAsima and Hawalli are where everything’s going down.
They didn’t “choose” ahmadi. KOC payed them so that they can snap al ahmadi, according to twitter users its cost around 60k to ad your “city” or whatever.
And now everybody knows that KOC employees cannot speak English.

They chose Ahmadi Area not Ahmadi Governerate, Ahmadi Area where the oil companies are! We as Kuwaities was really surprised! Why are they looking for oil? Seriously, there’s no life in Ahmadi Area it’s all about oil, yes, there’s is a dessert on the west and sea east but not a lot of people go there near the oil fields. Snapchat should’ve choose Ahmadi Governerate where the beautiful and charming parts of Ahmadi are not only the area!
The story should be called Ahmadi Oil Industry Life 😕! Not Ahmadi life!
