A bright side to the customs strike

At least it’s helping local producers.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Dairy Company (KD Cow) announced on Monday, that it increased its production capacity to meet shortage of dairy products in markets.

The company’s Director-General Saleh Al-Attiqi told KUNA that in order to maintain food security, under the current customs strike that paralyzed the market, the company doubled its production.

I personally thing that we should focus on consuming local goods. While people complain that there are no fresh vegetables in grocery shop…. i go back and remind them on how we have amazing and as fresh as it can get locally grown vegetables in Mubarakia as well as local produced cheese, lebnah yogurt on the several farmers markets available in some of the supermarkets.
I mean, do we really need imported goods?

Thats what I was saying 🙂 support the local farmers! 🙂 with you all the way! although a bit limited but KDD is GOOD!

Grab the market whilst you can, because when Al Rawabi Dairy opens in Kuwait, it will strongly rival this company. With a refreshing business philosophy like, “Our dairy farm and processing plant are located next to each other; so getting the milk from cows to the processing plants takes only minutes which gives us the unique advantage of delivering farm-fresh dairy products to consumers on a daily basis,” If you watch the market, consumers currently prefer AlMarai, so this company will give AlMarai some competition especially with some of it’s new product lines that they will bring to the market.

I believe that Rome is still burning and the captain has jumped ship. In other words, there doesn’t seem to be a solution as of yet, although we are waiting for a live comment from the government at this moment. Stayed tuned. Oh wait, we’ve lost our signal, damn, I believe the MOC has gone on strike.

I really don’t understand why there was no back-up plan. Couldn’t the Army be used in customs? They should not be allowed to strike like this and paralyse a nation who rely’s strongly on imports. It does highlight alot of problems in the government and why don’t they address the nation? Who is running this country anyway?
