I noticed the Google Kuwait page now has a Kuwait Occasion Google logo on top. Google changes the logo on special occasions and when you click on those occasion logos you get information about that event. On clicking the Google Kuwait logo you get a search for “Kuwait’s National Day”. I think someone at Google mixed up the dates. The Kuwait occasion Google logo should be online Feb 25 and 26 but by mistake is online January 25 and 26. Unless there is some occasion today I am not aware of… [Link]
Update: Looks like I was right, it was a mistake. Google just removed the occasion logo and put back the regular Google one.

well today they raised the flag in Bayan palace, this ceremony resembles the beginning of the National day Festivals in Feb. Also Jan 29th is when our current Amir Shaikh Subah Al Ahmad Began his duties as a ruler of Kuwait.
i hope i helped you guys.
lol.. maybe Google is confused, today is India’s Republic Day! ๐
Even Google ๐
yuba It’s been four years since the Amir took over his position it has nothing to do with hala febrayer
Can you imagine a whole month of foaming?
Last week, Kuwait was the new Egypt (according to the ‘Kuwait Airways taking 3 passengers standing’ incident).
Now Kuwait is the new India.
i’ll give you an advice, since i don’t like that arabic interface of google (and search results getting to the right instead of left)
+
i clear my settings, i’ve set home page to:
http://www.google.com/en
no more pain
on that advice, i’ll give another advice for chrome users.
If your search gets arabic results and you want to convert it to english results,
1) right click on the address bar and go to “Edit Search Engines”
2) Click Add
3) Name: Google English
Keyword: google.com
URL: {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&hl=en&q=%s
4) OK
5) Click on Google English in the list and “Make Default”
The code that makes a difference is : hl=en in the URL, where en is english so you can replace ‘en’ with other languages.
Happy Indo-pendence day ๐

u know what, maybe they will have these up all through out Feb… Frankom got a point…
but still, its not the national day today! they could use some other message, u know…
Local newspaper as well as those SMS news services
hey,
its Republic Day of India today (26th January)…
26th Jan is Indian Republic day!May be there has been a mix-up!
It’s Australia’s Day too!
I’ve been wondering about that the whole day. A friend suggested that probably Google Kuwait is just too nationalistic and wanted to celebrate for one whole month by putting that up =))
Omg i love how the dude spelled google khookhil in arabic lewls
guess there are too many Indians in Kuwait!! that they got it mixed up
Only IP’s coming from Kuwait can see that independence day image in google by the way
