The 13th International Music Festival started yesterday in Kuwait and ends on the 11th of June. The website is in Arabic so I couldn’t really understand much but it has a schedule and details of the event. If you can read Arabic here is the [Link]

My Dad is one of the main guys who helps run the shows every year. They’re really cool and a lot of times I get to watch up in the control room, which is always fun. I’ve met a bunch of famous Kuwaiti actors and other famous people who come by and watch the shows. Plus the shows are really good.

Arabs who cant read arabic=Epic fail
Not really. Haven’t really missed much from life, I guess I can’t read Arabic newspapers or Arabic subtitles in English movies but luckily we have the Internet which is in English and I can understand English movies without needing subtitles 😉

And the rebuttal with ‘I don’t read subtitles’ goes to show the sad “PR” for the Arabic language these days.

Some of us actually have a good excuse like we’ve never lived in the middle east-ever! And we simply talk and read english because we’re weak in Arabic and we find it hard to express ourselves. Moreover its time consuming to keep re-reding an article in order to understand it. FYI i know some kuwaiti’s living in kuwait that actually don’t want their children to speak Arabic. That is the epic fail 😉
If i was a good writer/reader/speaker i’d proudly use Arabic. Hypocrite.
