Today in Al-Qabas newspaper they had an article on the Al-Rifai car crash which I posted about yesterday. The difference is Al-Qabas is stating that the woman of the car was driving on the road normally when her brakes failed and she veered out of control into the Al-Rifai store. I find that hard to believe for a couple of reasons, first she was driving a new Toyota Prado, not a 10 year old Hyundai. When was the last time you heard the brakes on a new car failing? I doubt it ever happens anymore. Secondly the street is tiny, she would have had to make a 90 degree turn to be able to drive into the store. If she had lost control like the newspaper is stating then she would have veered off the road diagonally, not at a right-angle. This looks like a cover up!

well i guess she had some kind of big big vasta out there or a God Father
Pitty the Shop Owner This Means No Compensation From The Lady Driver.
I guess most Lady drivers do drive like this! (Gear Problem, breaks, N speeding)No Control at all.
Thats complete bullshit! If she veered out of control she would have hit the fucking walls! I hate when they blantantly lie! “Somehow” she went perfectly through the store instead of hitting walls. And instead of blaming the women’s incomptence they blame toyota which has been making high quality vehicles for years… hhmmmmmm
Now thats genious for you at work for you!
hmmm… i donno…
That sounds very similar to a police report..
I’ve got a ton of em.. I know how it sounds…
Mark dude… the brakes of ur car CAN fail anytime anyday. The reason u dont hear of it happening is cuz its never happened to u before ;). And if ur gonna say “Its a brand new Toyota Prado” just to let u know… the brakes on the prado have been know to do that. Also, weathers getting hotter now, which means some things that were ok ar starting to break down in the heat. It happens. As of the car accident and the brakes failing and swerving… that sounds like some fucked up shit.
its something you’d see on jackass on MTV or punk’d lol
im waiting for the hidden cameras to jump out and say this was a stunt lol
poor workers and customers in the nutty shop, i mean… did they talk about them? was their any casulties?
what about the nuts? are they still standing?
ha! nice one…..
the report in the paper is probably wat the police report says
& the police report probably says tat to get full insurance…
I think the newspaper got the first impression of the police man at the scene and not the final full story or maybe the woman is imapressed and had to lie to cover it up. onley if she knew we are talking about her issue π
hahah no way is that true. the car is perfectly lined up to the glass and everything. if anything even the fact that she mis-geared is BS. it honestly looks like she just did this on purpose heh.
If the woman was kuwaiti, i think that would have been the reason for the cover up. Jaz: I think its a bit too soon to blame the heat, and while yes your car brakes can cut anytime any day, the fact is considering your car is probably newer you have a higher chance of the brake NOT cutting.
It all makes sense when you come to think about it π
OK.. people! If you want a physics point of view, 1) She has to be going fast to go into the store while swerving.
2) to get to that speed and entering it at a 90 degree angle would result in the prado flipping over.
3) so from a physics standpoint it is impossible for that to happen.
Basically if she did swerve into it, she should have been going pretty slow!
And do you guys really think this women had the capability to aim right between the two pillars of the store!
I smell cover up!
Today I read Al-Rai Al-Aam newspaper and they’ve covered the accurate, but funny, details of the accident on page 56.
I cant imagine how fast this lady usually goes on reverse. Sooo fast, that when she “accidentaly” went foward, she went up the stores small steps and wall. If i was driving, i probably would not have gone up the wall. Usually people go slow on reverse, not as fast as this lady did. Anyways… i hope my thoughts were clear. Very very fishy situation. Per the brakes being faulty, I Dont think so.
Wasnt that a drive-thru store? π
to me it looks like she’s NUTs over Rifai, hehehe
She doesnt have to be kuwaiti to cover it up..
I’ve covered up a couple of my accidents & I aint no Kuwaiti…
I’m the daughter of the lady who crashed into the store. And just to clarify all these rumours ( which really make me question the validity of the media!), but she is lebanese, not kuwaiti, and the brakes did not work for that split second, and she got nervous and did not think to use the side brake at the time, and because the car is so big it managed to climb those stairs even without using the accelerator…
i hope i put all yout concerns to rest THERE IS NO COVER UP, there is no conspiracy, there is no big GOVERNMENT SECRET…
just a tiny dust particle which messed up the breaks in that split second …
