Aramex new working hours

The Aramex Ardiya branch has new working hours. Starting today, the Ardiya branch is now open from 8:30AM to 9PM from Saturday to Thursday and Friday from 12PM to 6PM. I am guessing this is in reponse to DHL EasyShop who’s Ardiya branch is open daily till midnight except for Friday when they close at 9PM. I hope this is a sign that Aramex is going to try and improve so that they can compete with other mail forwarding services. I just hope packages go back to taking a few days to arrive to Kuwait and into my hands instead of the 10 days its taking now.

I’ve heard from a friend that they reached the desired revenue for whole year in quarter1 only in 2009 but i guess they thought that its enough we’re doing so well we don’t care anymore …

My experience with DHL has been consistent (so far). Packages take 4 days to ship and I get them on the 5th day.
Plus they dispatch it the very next day after receiving in the mailbox.

I am sure there will be some exceptions to this rule – but so far, they’ve got my business.

Very true. With DHL there is a big delay. Usually it is recived only on the 3rd day or 4th day after the package arrives in kuwait.
With aramex where i shipped only 2 packages they deliver the next day itself. Awsome

Already bought a DHL box- sooooo much trouble with Aramex delivery this week that I’m now waiting 24 hours to close my box, just to give them a chance to respond to my complaints. This is ridiculous.

guys I have a quick question: when you order DVDs from DHL does get held in the customs? cause that’s what happened with ushopweship and it took 15 days to get it!

It does go through the customs for inspection but it doesn’t stay there for 15 days.

Aramex you deserve what you are going through because you got so greedy and didn’t care one bit about your clients.

I’m using aramex only for shopping from UK online stores …. and I think I will get my self a DHL mail box really.

no more crappy aramex services.

K, seems you have the system down.. I need to get this down as well.. Aramex needs to streamline their process.. if they have too many customers.. then less customers will help improve things for them!

10 days for a package is a compliment to Aramex. When I left them it was taking me 2 weeks + consistently to get my packages (without them being held in customs.)

Also cancelled our corporate account with them as Fedex is cheaper and most countries don’t even know Aramex exists, so its a hassle to use them as a forwarder for business purposes.

i have ordered a big shipment and to receive it as one shipment I asked to ship within 2 weeks which will insure that my shipments all arrived but instead USWS shipped every couple of items alone and I ended up paying 43.5 KD! instead of the actual wait for all the items which is 22.5KD! I think I’ll go for DHL from now on

For me it isn’t getting held in custom is the problem but getting out of it.
with USWS they charged me 10kd just as a clearance charge and I had to pay for all of the custom fees.
it ended up for me paying 30kd for a 30kd shipment that weighs 2kg >.>;
so far DHL said to me there are no clearance charge.
I don’t mind paying tax and tax-Fees it is a law and I do respect it but paying 10kd clearance was outrageous.
*note that if you dont pay 10kd they give you the papers and say clear it your self*
and last 2 weeks they said if you don’t pay 10kd you pay 3kd so that we get you the manifest so you could go clear it for your self -.-

Honestly the most professional curiure I ever worked for is FedEX too bad they don’t have a box. but they do have a very good account system but not all site uses it.

Two days ago one of the employees at aramex dropped by a credit card to my door step and I asked him how aramex was doing after the unfortunate event that they went through and how they are dealing with the delays in packages, he told me that things aren’t going well and they are still taking a while to release them from the customs (almost a week rather than 2-3 days).

By the way guys:
Any one try to call aramex office after 6.00pm, or on friday??
The answer machine telling me (our working hours from 8am to 6pm), and they sent us a msg saying that we updated our working hours from 8am to 9pm and on friday from 12 noon to 6pm !!
Are the lying to us or what???

when i was picking up a package at 8pm. the reception staff told me there working hours is from 8.30am to 9.00 pm except for friday from 12.00pm to 6.00pm.

he also told me after 6.00 pm the reception is open for shop&ship pick up clients, opening mailboxes and express packages.

As Ehab says….They don’t appear to be working to the new opening times yet….tried to call at 3.30 today, Sat and the recorded message says Sat 9-3pm
Plus the message that they send with charges does not include the handling fee!
