Yesterday morning a cargo ship heading into Shuwaikh port veered off path and nearly collided with the KPC building. The cargo ship had to be pulled back out into sea by tugboats and an investigation is currently taking place into the cause of this incident.
The pictures in this post were taken by KPC employees and it kinda looks like their might have been an oil leak as well. [Source]

Texting whilst driving again?
lol i wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t the case
LOL…
maybe the captain thought of submitting his invoice directly to KPC
GOOD ONE
I’m sure the investigation will somehow blame it on the expats 🙂
it could be an ex-pats fault just as much as it could be a Kuwaitis fault.
@Kuwait: U Nuts! Expats??? From where did this come from????
Its not the captains fault, once the ship comes into bay a pilot takes over I think the tugboats. They screwed up somehow.
Also Its not oil its the mud that is causing the black color. The ship may have been in shallow waters and is lucky it did not get stuck
+1
This pretty much sums up what happened exactly.
From the pictures, the anchor seems the main cause of that mud.
AWESOME! Imagine being in the building. Dayum.
There was a ship hotel in the exact place of KPC now. May be the captian wants to replace the KPC with his ship. 🙂
It’s probably a mechanical failure. The waves might have pushed it further onto shore.
Instagram: ruining great photos since 2010.
would have been a more interesting story had it ran aground and even crashed into the ministry.
He probably thought it was a Drive-Thru.
don’t you just love the smell of petrol? aahhhhh!
the oil leak maybe not an oil leak!
looks like ship scraped the bottom of sea and caused the dirty sand to move!
Do you think the captian started blowing his horn, waiting for the little guy to run out of the bakala and giving him a pack of cigarettes?
HA!
Speed 2 Kuwait version ??!!
Wanted to make the realistic version of Speed 2 movie…have the shooting in Kuwait to compete with Mission impossible which was shot in Dubai…..
