Double Sided Speed Cameras

A forum user (q8enviro) posted about new double sided speed cameras and yesterday I noticed three on highway 40. I couldn’t take any picture because it was dark but I just noticed Some Contrast posted pictures of the new double sided camera which you can see [Here]

I think they’ve also added new cameras on highway 40 since I passed by maybe 6 on the same stretch.

yes i was going to post about it ……..2 days back……….but couldnt make video ……..so may be by today night i may get hold of the video…….

2 days back i was going from fahaheel to farwaniya. i knew each and every single came on the way i passed by one camera and started speeding and went on to 220 km/hr and suddenly camera flashed ….i was shocked i was lyk WTF????? the camera was facing the other road and how come me ….. instead going to farwaniya i went back to other road to see and was shocked to see muthaf***kin double face camera….and then i thought ok this was the only one cam heading towards farwaniya i again speeded and all da same shit went on and i got on da same night lyk 4 cameras and all were on more than 150-220km/hr………

i already had one fine for cam and sound even after clearing all the shit……

PS – i m just waiting for my car to be impounded:(

BUT Wasta Rocks :P~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think one side is a dummy. They keep rotating it every 2-3 days.
But still not as bad as the mobile cameras that were prevalent last year.

I do believe the speed limits on some roads (and sometimes on some parts of some roads) are ridiculously low, and the irritating thing that if u try to maintain at least the speed limit then forget about the first and second lanes, and try only the third and fourth lanes (counting from right side of the road), and even then, the ones on the third lane always drive by at least 10 km/hr less than the speed limit so every now and then u have to pass them by left or right, and forget about forcing ppl on the fourth lane to drive only at the designated speed limit, some would just literally push u out one way or another. This all leaves us to one decision, u must speed up more than the speed limit and join the fourth lane most of the time. ( I love road 40 the best, and on almost daily basis round trip from Shuwaikh to Azzour which is a pain the ass).

Conclusion: RAISE THE &^%$(*& speed limits !! coz all that bypassing of slower cars IS the reason of 99% of the accidents, NOT the speed itself, u got one of the loveliest roads I’ve seen anywhere, except for Bahrain.

look at the bright side, at least we don’t have to worry about the sudden camera change to one direction to another, GPS mark-ups will be more accurate lol.

P.S.there isone on Ryadh highway after the first bridge if you are heading south.

Unfortunately this will not be as effective as a police officer stopping speeders and ticket them on the spot. I hope they get more strict and start arresting people who keep breaking the law. But as long as we have wasta nothing will work. It irritate me that people speed for no good reason. Its not like it is a matter of life or death and you need to reach your destination 5 min early! Leave early and you will get their on time.

Hey BoBadder noone in Kuwait doesn’t care if they get a ticket or not, especially these rich fuckers! You should have seen Fahaheel Expressway down between Shuaiba Port and Afifjan Exit, the dumbasses were driving in the same lane the road workers were working on. These idiots have no respect for noone! The MOI won’t punish anyone but bedouns, Jahra people, and other non western expats. Hell there are American contractors that have runaways living with them, sex for a roof over there head! Go figure!

there is a new on the 5th ring road toward Al Bidaa roundabout…it’s in black SUV on the right side of the road before the bridge…

No shit! They have had the new SUV’s with radar/flash for at least a month now. They are Nissan Xterras and GMC Envoy’s. Open your eyes man!
