Eat My Dust

I found this video on YouTube, its a short amateur movie that was shot in Kuwait back in 1992 by a guy called Ali. If you consider the fact that this movie was shot and edited by a teenager in the early 90s without a computer, its actually pretty cool.. in a geeky way. [YouTube]

For some reason I now feel like watching The Dirt Bike Kid

This kid’s cinematic skills are better than what i see on tv nowadays with the arabic soap operas. depressing to see how things degrade with time.:(

Amazing is not the word, this previously been kid is a genious better than all the losers we watch on TV. Wonder if he’s still creative !

I doubt it !

very very nice find. i wonder how many more obscure creative amateurs are out there that never found the proper channels for their talent…

dude this movie is cool for 1992 u dont c a creative teens like thise nowadays and in that year kuwait was a shity place cuz of the war withe the iraqis am suprised that the iraqis didnt stel the cam and the furnuture of that house loooool.

This is great! We used to do stop animation things like this too when we were kids, but definitely not as cool as this. I wonder if he made this video in one take on his camera, rewinding and fixing mistakes as he went along, which is what we had to do… Cool find!

Hi there, this is me the young boy on that short movie, I’d like to thank you all for your flattering comments. This movie was shot by my older brother Ali, and the other guy on the film is my brother Ahmad. The film was shot using a cinema camera, which we baught from an antique store. No editing, and it took 3 weeks to shoot, and a month time to develop in the UK. We have other movies like “No Kidding Just Killing” and other short “Alimation” movies. Hi Mark,

The same guy in this short clip has a book out. It is sold in Virgin and Carrefour. We can arrange a copy for you, just drop me an email. The book is in Arabic and it is very short and light to read.
