Enough

I think now would be the perfect time to start a campaign to legalize car tints.

Mark please add one post to tell poeple about current load in Kuwait.
Here you have the live power meter: https://www.mew.gov.kw/
Our power plant max. power supply is 11010MW, The current load is (now) 10844MW!!

This guy in his VW or (Audi) saw nothing! Yesterday I Saw 52.5 C deg. in my car dash at high way speed! I have a (phone)Photo of it too.

It is too hot out there!

Comon we need car tints! Not only does it help with the heat, it will make my GTR look much sexier!!!!

how about a campaign to legalize putting the correct temperature readings in public thermometers? (49 C max….really??)

METAR OKBK 141230Z 04014KT CAVOK 50/M10 Q0999 NOSIG

At 15:30 the airport recorded 50C – above is the aircraft weather report.

I got 57C , 3 days back while i was waitin for mi car wash … dropped to 24 when the car was being washed .. and shot back up to 50 once i got out ..

You know, you’re being a great role model right now, showing us how you took a picture of your dashboard while traveling at 84 kph. Bravo.

And then people wonder why so many people die on the roads of the Khaleej.

Excuse my ignorancce but what magic spell are we using to get the khalas coming up on the screen like that? =D

LOL! That was a good one, I’ll give you that haha

But seriously, people, focus when you drive!

Also, tinting isn’t allowed in Kuwait?! That seems….impractical. The UAE allows a max of 30% tinting, which isn’t much, but it’s better than nothing.

guys… yesterday i had 49 degrees C @ 8:30 pm!!!
and we had electricity off for 3 hours in 4 buildings in jabryiah !!! disaster !

Tinting car windows, not allowed? Hogwash, it’s allowed but, ONLY FOR LOCALS !!!

Expats caught with even the most CLEAREST TINT (Vkool etc.) have to remove it !

I’m not the type of person who sweats a lot. Today I was sweating so hard in the car at 2:30 pm with the AC at full blast. And my car is tinted and was parked in the shade all day. Still it was TOO DANG HOT inside! The temp. on the government building on the 5th ring road said 49, but my car said 52! That’s 125 F! Holly Molly!

Mark, you may be correct in saying that Tinting isn’t allowed (as per law). But one can see many vehicles on the road with tinted glass, with some even 100% or near about. The law may be there but its implementation appears to be selective.

guys u sure tinting is not allowed even for locals?and those queues of cars with tints that we see on the highways are violating the law?
Or is it that they have got some kind of special approval to keep the tints.
Btw back in my country they issue special permits valid for 1 year i guess for keeping tints.wondering if its the same here?

Todays temp. was actually 54 C for real!
my relative works at the Water Treatment plant..
she was working outside…on site…
On her experiment…she recorded the temp..and it was Effin FIFTY-5-Four-4 !!!

Seriouslly the govt. needs us to allow us to TINT our cars…b4 we all ppl in kuwait start melting.
But again sum use the tinting in the wrong way…making it Completely Impossible for anyone to see in..while Couples being Pathetic..Enjoy …..Inside the car. :]
But Please oh Dear Kuwait.. We need our Cars Tinted. :]

tinting is not allowed, it is illegal unless u have a skin condition with a medical permit which is hard to get, but people do tint there cars anyways, and yes even locals get a ticket for tinting I just got one last week, but screw it i will gladly pay the fine than suffer this heat !!!!

No Mark, it’s not bullshit as you say; it’s cowdung but only for Expats.

Take a good look all around while you drive and most if not all tinted cars won’t be driven by Expats.

Shibi’s got it right. Mark you are right, but seriously the cops look the other way if locals drive with a tint or if they do not wear a seat belt. It’s True, it’s true.

shibi: implementation isn’t selective. I have an illegal tint on my car and I haven’t been stopped. I have friends (who are Kuwaiti) with the same tint on their cars and they’ve been stopped. Doesn’t mean I have wasta, just means I’ve been lucky.

wish they can change this law soon or we will melt =(
feel sorry for people taking summer course
and feel sorry that today my sis told me girls in government schools was taking the finals test and the AC was off cause its old and not working

If they cut off the electricity in my house I think I will just move into my FJ. If I lower the back seats I can sleep comfortably and Internet access won’t be a problem since I will just tether my iPhone to my Macbook. Could be pretty cozy actually, like camping. What makes me want to move into my car right now is the fact the AC in the car is better than the one at home. It’s too hot at home!

Ppl !!!! Tint your cars!!! Screw law !!

There is no reason for anyone not to tint up to 50% , im not gonna burn my skin nor my car for the sake of unstudied law! and if its cz ppl r miss using it then perhaps we should cut almost everything out, to be secured, bull shit man!

sunday afternoon 1pm temp was 55C.i have tinted my car 40% i think. i bought special 3M window heat reduce film from USA please dont use ordinary tint film cuz that wil harm your skin and glass more.

Kuwait should be the first to legalize tinting for cars. Here in Bahrain tenting is allowed for a maximum of 30%. It makes lots of difference

Well guys… Could this be considered as an official temperature?

tinting upto 30% should be allowed in kuwait … by the way is it true that if the car registration is under a female owner then you can fully tint it ? even the front glass ?

And for SUV you can tint the third and second row glasses ?

Totally agree
there is new brand and legally authorized in many countries let’s fo the same at lest other countries did not reached 51 !
