Earlier I posted about the paper bags at the Co-op’s, well the group behind it turned out to be CEC, a local environmentally friendly company. Seems they are running a one month campaign called Environment Friends Campaign which involves different activities including the paper bags at the Co-op’s. So sadly I am assuming that once this one month campaign is over the Co-op’s will be going back to plastic bags. [Link]

Why can’t they stick it out!! They are doing a good thing, its sad that our government doesn’t support this type of movement!
those bags are produced from advertisement revenues that is printed on them , once that money is finished no more bags. and companies don’t want to do it again cause they wanna venture in something new as usual to sell there brands
Like i said, a month of hell for the poor Benaglis that have to actually carry the bags.
Co-op plastic bags double up as garbage bags so there’s tons of money to be saved there.
Long live plastic…..errrr….actually it does.
Perhaps, the private enterprises, ever eager to stay ahead of the curve might take a cue from this trial and introduce brown paper bags for shopping at TSC, Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarket, City Centre and Aldeasa Duty Free Shopping.
Never mind the co-ops. Who goes to shop there anyway?
i am doing a presentation for my colleagues her as a part of having a rule in protecting our environment.
