Hairspray is the latest musical performed by the Kuwait Little Theater. It’s directed by Kirsty McDonagh with an all singing, all dancing KLT cast of talented actors. Most of the performances are already sold out but they still have some openings available so if you’re interested you need to book right away.

Hairspray was never a play I ever wanted to see…. But still, I tried my best to book great seats when I was London a couple of years ago.
I can’t say I enjoyed it very much, I much preferred “We Will Rock You” and “Wicked’.
But it is still was very fun to watch. That is why I’m trying to book tickets for KLT performances. They might not be of the same quality; but let’s be honest, when will it ever be in Kuwait?
We should be glad that anyone, let alone KLT, is trying to mimic WestEnd shows 🙂

I would just like to point out that I booked tickets for the 24th (Tuesday night which is tomorrow) and I’ve previously been to one of the performances at the KLT. The theater is a proper theater which advanced technology and has been in Kuwait since 1948 I believe. I’m quite disappointed in BuzFairy for saying “hey might not be of the same quality; but let’s be honest, when will it ever be in Kuwait?” . I feel that Buzfairy is disregarding one of the oldest theater’s in the Gulf. Secondly, People have devoted so much time and effort to make this play or any of the KLT plays possible for an audience in Kuwait in order to allow them to experience something different. The KLT used to go on tour to Lebanon and other various countries in the past due to how strong their performances are. I just feel that rather than criticizing the theater here, go and act yourself because I’m sure the actors and directors do not appreciate it when someone leaves a comment such as this one. Anyway, I’m going to really enjoy the performance tomorrow night! I can’t wait !
