I used to be a big fan of the raft race when it used to be held at Messila Beach in the late 80s but haven’t really been to any ever since. This weekend though the annual raft race is going to be held at Shaab Sea Club in Salmiya so depending on the weather I might end up passing by.
I couldn’t find any details regarding the timings but their website does mention the following activities that will be available on the day:
Children playground
Beach volleyball
Beach football
DJ
Costume show
Face painting

The race starts from 10:00am till 4:00pm … they stop for friday preyer and resume afterwords…
Are these actually held in Kuwait? wooow, I never even knew, love the rafts. Can we take part? How do you know about the event coming up in the near future coz I have missed this long back.
well it is an annual event … i have been attending the past three year , an if you want to take part you contact anyone of the teams participating and you are welcome to join if you have the strength .. stamina endurance for it… HONDA are always there for the pasted years .. other teams are sometime changing .. you have AUK team who are new… the Mighty Hungarian Team who are tough … and the race has Only women teams.. then there is the MISED teams.. and MEN only Team .. its fun.
