eVisa’s are back! (kinda)

Looks like eVisa’s are finally being issued again. According to the US Embassy website, Kuwait has announced that people of certain nationalities who would like to travel to Kuwait can apply for a visa electronically (e-Visa) through the Ministry of Interior’s website. There are some requirements:

  • you need to be vaccinated
  • you need to have proof of vaccination
  • you need to register in the Immune app

But, it seems they’ve also placed a limit on how many eVisa’s can be issued. I’m trying to issue one for my mum but whenever I want to start the process I get the error “We have reached the maximum limit of visa applications, please try again later.” If you’ve successfully managed to apply for an eVisa, let us know in the comments.

Hi All

Does anyone know the process of getting Visit visa for parents for Indian national. India is not part of the eVisa list of countries. Many thanks for your help.

I just kept refreshing the portal and eventually it allowed me to sign up and it got issues 2 days later 🙂 mu advise is to keep refreshing every 30 mins or so and you will eventually get a slot to apply.

Does anyone know if incoming passengers to Kuwait with a visa need to register on the Mosafer site, or is that done with? Is it just the Immune app they need to download? Any other entry requirements they should know about?

First get a PCR test within 72 hours of your flight to Kuwait to be able to board flight.

Second download Immune application and upload your vaccination certificates (vaccines must be approved in Kuwait = Pfizer, AstraZeneca, J&J and Moderna)

Third – download Shlonik Application when you arrive in Kuwait – If you arrive at T4 Kuwait Airways, do your PCR at airport – If you arrive at old airport, go straight and do your PCR test like in Jarallah Clinic so that you do not get quarantined at home for the full 6 days.

As far as I know. When tou apply for the e-visa they request the vaccination certificate, beside the other documents (like pasaporte, etc) then if they approved the visa for you. You do not need to download the inmune app and apply because your vaccine has been already approved.

If someone has alresdy travel, maybe can provide more clarification onto this.

I got it done a few days ago. The more complicated part seems to be with the next step; certifying your vaccine and registering on Immune with your passport and email. Has anyone succeeded? I keep getting “passport not registered” when trying to register on immune.

I managed to get 3 evisas but still not able to get approval from MOH for the vaccines to be able to register on Immune.

I applied on vaxcert December 2 and nothing yet. Tried immune and it says not registered on covid system. Anyone has any updates if they got approval on vaxcert?

Hi,

My mom just came this morning on a tourist visa and I have gone through a lot in last couple of days that I don’t want any one else to go through.

I received her E-Visa few days back and booked her straight away with the British airway from London Heathrow. Later on when I tried to register her on Shlonik and kuwait Mosafer, I was asked to pay 28 KD for two PCR and for hotel Quarantine as she is not registered on immune so basically she is not vaccinated. I uploaded her vaccination certificate again on immune for the approval, never mind it’s the same vaccination certificate that was approved by the ministry of interior at the time of applying E-Visa.

So to speed up the process, I called MOH helpline and they advise me to go to Mishref Hall 6 for the approval. I straight away went to Mishref and after waiting for 3 hours, I was told that I have to wait for 2 weeks to get the approval even though my mom was suppose to fly next day. I even tried to explain to them why would she need another approval when she has already got the vaccination approval from ministry of interior on which they said that they have nothing to do with it or any thing related to the issuing of a tourist visa.

Lastly I went to the airport and booked my mum in for meet and greet service via Hala(Pearl lounge). I was told not to worry about the immune as they will take her to the MOH doctor at the airport and he will give her approval based on her vaccination certificate.
I was relieved but as I was about to leave the Pearl lounge staff told me that the QR code on vaccination is not working in another word QR code generated by the NHS UK is only readable via their app that is only available on UK App Store. Moreover if the problem persist, she might have to Quarantine for 7 days in a hotel.

On the day of the flight she was asked to pay 28KD at London airport for PCR that was already booked by me via meet and greet service in kuwait. She arrived this morning and was received by the Pearl lunge customer representative at the gate. She first took her to collect the E-Visa and then for her PCR test and she was out in 25-30 mins. They didn’t even check her Immune or her Vaccination certificate because she already had a stamped E-visa with her (quoted by the representative who assisted my mum). Moreover the PCR done at the airport was the one that I booked. She is finally here and the whole process was very simple and easy. I would recommend you guys to book meet and greet service as my mom told me that the lady assisting her had to go at many places for the Visa/PCR/ immigration.

Hope this info helps other. Please don’t stress like me the whole process was very easy and simple.

Thanks

Confirmed for a fact. UK British passport holders do not need to register on any app or download anything. Just PCR test taken in 72 hours and NHS vaccination app. Just entered Kuwait 5 days ago and left just now.

I just did my e visa and realised it is only valid for a month until the 6th of January. And I will be arriving on the 4th of January and planning to stay until the 12th of Jan. Is there any way to change the dates or extend the visa to a week later?? appreciate your help

I still did not register in the immune app since i need to put in my visa approval details but i first want to extend the dates. Once i am able to change it I will continue the process

please let me know if anyone has info about this

Thanks!!

i think the visa is valid for a month as in you have a month to enter the country, after that, you can stay here for an X amount of time you’d have to check on the visa website for details.

Hi Evez
I just read as Mark mentioned and it says that you can stay 3 months from the entry date. so i guess the one month we have is for the entry date period, and once you enter you have 3 months to stay.

please let me know if you know any thing else regarding our case.

Thanks!

I got my evisa on Dec 2 and then uploaded my vaccination certificate on vaxcert website also on December 2 and nothing yet. Tried immune and it says not registered on covid system. Anyone has any updates or success if they got approval on vaxcert?

Did anyone get their Vax cert approved and able to register in Immune? I applied on December 2 on the vax cert website and still awaiting confirmation of my vaccine certificate approval. E visa expires next week and I dont want to hotel quarantine as per kuwait mosafer unless the Immune shows green. Anyone has any updates to share?

Sharing my experience. Applied for tourist visa online November 30th. 1 day after was asked to pay 3kd and same day e-visa was issued. Dec 2 uploaded on MOH vaxcert. Got the approval today, logged in to immune shows green vaccinated. I typed name in English in Arabic name field. Took 12 days.

Any recent traveler experience from UK to Kuwait on BA fight checkin issues at LHR. We do not have immune app updated and do not have Mosafer updated. Can we board with NHS vaccination certificate? Thank you

Just got in yesterday with family of little kids. The pcr, vaccination and mosafer was checked by airline staff. If ur immune green then mosafer shows up as green or red as in case of my kids who were required to pay 28 kd each for 2 pcr tests. On arrival picked up tourist visa and left airport. No one even checked if pcr for kids was done on arrival or Immune. After exit went to jarala German clinic to get pcr for kids.
