There is a huge blaze right now in the Shuwaikh industrial area, I can actually see it from my office window in Kuwait City. A friend of mine sent me the two pictures attached to this post.

Its just about that time of year again – time to torch the inventory!
that usually happens end of year when they close their books, if it happens now then it is real.

A couple days back I saw a building under construction on fire in Hawalli … ‘sigh’, I wish people would be more careful and understand that this is a desert country and we’d rather waste water on living and productive things than putting out careless fires … just a thought ;p.
i work just next to this place,last year there was a tyre shop on huge fire, that company is famous for getting insurance money in millions.
but this incident made many shop owners, and labours working there jobless. i was there for for an hour,sorry mark had no cam with me to take pics. the whole kasima burnt down.
to my surprise, some guys are driving on the same road towards the fire place, and making traffic more worse, the fire fighters faced problem reaching the spot.
