Flood at The Avenues

It seems a sewage pipe burst at The Avenues yesterday flooding the Veromoda and Fashion Code stores. I wasn’t there but I could imagine the area must have smelled terrible. 965Malls has pictures and videos of this incident which you can check [Here]

this has nothing to do with shop owners, it’s the mall’s infrastructure – this is the third time this happens at vero moda, but the worse – water is still leaking until today… but the avenues have been very helpful and supportive

what do u mean it doesn’t have to do with shop owners? nobody is blaming the shop owners. the reality is their product is being destroyed due to the mall’s faulty infrastructure. yes, they prob have insurance but you know how big a hassle filing a claim is going to be … if the shops are brought to Kuwait by someone other than Alshaya it is a hazard to have a shop if these incidents continue to occur

this is not the first incident, a month ago another sewage pipe bursted at phase II .. to be exact “Jehnny beckham store” the whole area smells like shit.. and i guess it is still close – last time i checked 2 weeks ago-.

Last night near Marks And Spencer and Marina, there was a huge drain leakage as well, smelled horrible 😐

More proof of why comedian Kathy Griffin joked that Kuwait smelled like a giant fart!…”Eeeewww, who farted? Kuwait did.”

It’s a joke but she’s absolutely right. SO many areas in Kuwait smell from badly managed sewage and even if you could GTFO, you’d still be smelling that shit for miles lol lost cause.

I smell a crash sale in the air.. everything 90% off. Only slight smell of sewer ..easily dealt with by radical dry cleaning..lol

Last night I was there and they have blocked off large chunks of the underground parking near the food courts for some maintenance. This wouldn’t be exciting except for the fact that it takes a good 30 minutes to find a spot on the weekend and this will just exacerbate the problem.
