New company is not picking trash laying outside the waste bin, during the period of contract change for 3 days nobody picked up the trash and all the waste bins was overflowing… now the cleaning company is not picking it… they are just clearing the waste bins and leaving

somebody from Municipality needs to address this issue… the above situation is whole Kuwait

I can understand the overflowing bins due to gap in trash collection. But why should trash be outside the bin / on the road in the normal course?

As I understand, there are two separate companies: one for trash collection and the other for road cleaning.

But even if there was just one, WHY do people love to throw trash outside the bin?

The overflowing isNt because of gaps in collection, the garbage is being collected daily. The issue is the bins aren’t enough for the amount of trash that accumulated during the day. There should be at least 8 not 3 and I’m basing this number off the fact when there were 6 bins there trash was still overflowing.

Maybe local situations are different, I dunno. But here in Mangaf there was no rubbish until a few weeks ago and now it’s worse than this. The bins are emptied but the stuff around them isn’t and is getting worse daily. Our kids play out there but we’re getting close to stopping them.

I think you should reconsider all the trash disposed. I encourage you to decrease your trash by reusing all of this wasted material. Imagine how much this would help the environment.

It’s not just Salmiya. There is an issue with the new municipality contractor I believe. I hope this gets solved soon, especially with the expected rain we’ll be having. We don’t want any waste to block drainage.

Am also concerned about the potential for water borne diseases if it rains heavily.
Might just be quicker and easier for us to pick up the trash and take it to the dump yards. Sad to see that the cleaning companies getting paid to do their job can not do it properly.

I wont blame the contracting company as we all know any company wins the bid they have to give a certain percentage to one of the key person, the contractor isn’t here for charity work and needs to make money so he would not spend on new garbage bin or increase manpower to keep his profit and he also knows no one will take action as he has already filled the pockets of the concern person ! Corruption is to the highest in Kuwait and this is weakening within the country and no one is thinking over it.

I usually send to the municipality’s twitter account for any problem related to their work, and I find a quick response, try this method

Mark you should send these photos to all the daily newspapers. If they publish them, it will get the authorities attention.

They’re unable fix trash problem.
Unable to fix road-paving problems.
Unable to fix fake education certificates problems.

And yet…
They want to deliver a New Kuwait by 2035.

LOL

You can and should dedicated the music video of Michael Jacksons they don’t really care about us to the Baladiya
