Healthy Food at Schools

It’s about time! The small LoFat canteen above is located at the American International School.

Update: LoFat is also available at Al-Bayan Bilingual School

All chips, chocolates and sodas should be banned in all schools in Kuwait and school canteens should be inspected for safety. This is a beginning though. Also, all school buses should be yellow with special driver’s training for all bus driver’s and school bus in Arabic/English should be clearly marked on the bus. All buses should have a female attendent on the bus and a number should be on all buses to report improper driving so the public can notify authorities of sporatic driving which I see often in Kuwait. Simple!

I’m at BBS, and we have a Lo Fat there. You think it’s good food? Its not as good as you think.. The food is just so plain… I don’t mind healthy food but I would like some tasty food at least! I mean AIS have Subway, which is tasty AND healthy. I would like something like that.

They obviously have someone with a bit of common sense in charge……not what’s going on at a famous girls school in salwa….it’s still chips and sour sweet candy on the menu.

You can eat anything you want and STILL lose weight, knowing AIS I bet they charge the food at their lo fat stand for like 3 KD or something…..

Mark, you’ve truly outdone yourself, mate 🙂

Imagine a food related posting on 248am that doesn’t require parental guidance!
That’s health-tacular!

I go to UAS and they have been giving out low-fat for a few years now, its regular food but the thing is schools have been giving out healthy food for a while, but healthy isn’t always the best, you can be healthy without the diet food.
