Although I would think by now everyone knows what Ace Hardware is it seems it’s not as popular as I had imagined. Whenever I mention Ace on my blog a few people always comment asking what it was or where it was so I figured I would highlight the place.
Ace Hardware is one of my favorite stores in Kuwait. They’ve been open over a decade now and every year they just keep on improving. They sell everything from bedsheets, towels, sporting equipment, ATV’s, barbecue’s, gardening tools, car accessories, bathroom accessories, hardware tools, power tools, toys, paint, kitchenware, bulbs, pet supplies and the list goes on and on. Everything is arranged nicely, the place never gets too crowded, the staff are friendly and helpful and since they import a lot of items directly from the States, you find a lot of stuff you can’t find anywhere else. I use Ace mostly for the hardware tools section, the barbecue accessories and pet supplies but every now and then I would need something totally random and I would find it only at Ace.
They’re located in Al-Rai in the area between Avenues and the 4th Ring Road. I’ve drawn a map below of how to find the place, they’re open from 9AM to 10PM daily and their phone number is 24769100.

I wanted to buy a fire alarm system for my house and each time i say i will go i could not. hope today or tomorrow i can make it.
I was there this morning buying few things for Oscar, the store is really full of helpful stuff,
I am in love with the tolls section and the pet supplies one.
Also they got a perfect collection for Christmas.

I agree, after reading previous posts about ace hardware i need some stuff which i tried finding in other stores which i couldn’t but did in ACE.
This place is nothing short of amazing.
The one thing is the staff will only attend to you when called upon and not like the usual followers as other stuck-ups love, and i really like that!
Well, i couldn’t find what i needed there..
1. Double Sided Adhesive Thermal Pads (the sales guy there was like WTF ?)
2. Primer Coat Paint Color ( Black ) for painting my computer case internals. ( was and still out of stock )
I even found alternatives cheaper in Bin Nesef (Toolbox related and construction hardware & materials)
They don’t have a Bright Sign to indicate the entrance of the parking, each time i miss it by 10 or 15 meters, even the ACE HARDWARE in red should be glowing !
i drove right past it the other day as the sign was now in arabic and i couldnt see the english sign. the only thing i would like to see them start selling is building materials, like home depot. i want to build an outdoor house for my cat, but dont know where to find good wood.
I love Ace, but they have recently changed and it looks more like souq shaabi to me: All kinds of stuff and not really hardware-related. I guess Sears must not be doing so well in some departments so they have moved more crap to Ace.
Ace is the only good place for pet supplies in Kuwait. They also stock Spray Nine which is great for cleaning anything and everything.
With Ace it is a hit or miss , some times you find what are you looking for sometimes they are out of stock for a long while . It is stocked diff than ACE store in the USA .
Bin Nisf has good deals , but still not everything .
Don’t they have a freaking Visio on the Mac?

just go to True Value and you’ll find most things from Ace there and like half the price!

Up Above the word Road (4th Ring Road) in the map, there are terrible street holes & ups and downs that may harm your car/wheels watch it out lol
it is opening in Lebanon, I just saw it the other day on Jounieh highway before crepaway.

Elias its open in Lebanon. I passed by the Jounieh branch and got some mouse traps. Not a big branch, nothing close to being as big as the one in Kuwait but it was still cozy and they had a variety of items.

LOVE Ace! They have so many affordable Christmas trees this year.. And I found about a dozen different kinds of holiday gift bags for between .100 – 250 fils each! In TSC they’re at least 1.500 KD! So I snapped up a bunch and a bunch of decently priced wrapping paper too!

ACE Hardware will be opening another store in Kuwait soon. Guys, watch out for it. Quality is a better investment rather than (True) Value. New items arrive almost everyweek. Special orders are also acceptable under certain conditions.
