Awhile ago I found out the Lexus IS F is now officially available at the dealer here in Kuwait. Previously the only way to get an ISF was to import one usually from the US where it launched back in 2008. Sadly the local dealer is selling it for KD25,000 which is nearly KD10,000 more expensive than in the US so it’s still cheaper to import one.

Don’t compare prices to the US, but still it is very expensive!
Compared to the 4 doors M3 will be a cheaper option, but it has a great sound and can beat a M3 in a straight line.

with that price tag i would choose the CTS-V coupe , its much stronger & sexier
I would prefer both the ISF and M3 over the CTS. For 25,000 though I would get a GTR

A GTR would cost 30.000+ new.
It is a great car but I hate it! Doesn’t involve the driver as much as the M3.
The CTS-V is a smoke generator
A brand new (2010) GTR costs less than 30K. Back when the GTR first came out, about two years ago, it was 32K at the local dealer, and it was on order – since they were not GTR certified yet. Now that they are, you can find one at the showroom for less than 30.
The ISF is all show and very little in the “go” department. Clue #1, the quad pipes in the back are fake.
Also slower than the M3.
For my money, its the GTR no questions.
I got my GTR back in 09 from the dealership for 28k because of wasta, brand new, red, sexy, and a beast. I am sure the price has dropped to somewhere around that by now. GTR > Lexus ISF for that price. Now if they sold the ISF for the same price as the states, thats a different story.
GTR wins hands down.

dealerships in kuwait happily rip people off, i hope it changes, the same story with the mercedes C63 al bisher sells its for nealry 9 thou kd more than any mercedes dealership in the US, thats way many people just import it
Think there should be some kind of law that prevents dealers to play around with price tags ! For exampe CTS V Coupe 2011 costs $62 – $70 thousand dollars in the states, in Kuwait KD27 thousand ! Regulations must be put in place so that everyone is happy with their purchase.
If a Toyota Prado can cost KD16,000 I would imagine it being very weird having an ISF cost the same amount. How much does a 4-door M3 cost? The 135 costs nearly 15,000, the Z4 like 20,000 so the m3 is what? 25?
I remember back in the days when a fully loaded Prado cost like 8,000kd and the Lexus LX470 cost like KD15,000 or something. Everything is just too expensive.
Even renting a car for an expat is expensive. Whenever I tried to buy a car they didn’t even want to help me. 🙁 They told me to get a Kuwaiti to co-sign for the loan. I was new in Kuwait and didn’t even know any Kuwaitis. This is thanks to the Americans who just leave Kuwait for good and park their car at the airport. Screwing the rest of us.
M3 4 door is around 22-24 depends on the options.

Lx470 price since it was launched 17000 kd back in 1998 that was the cheapest price for it.
Guys, who said its 10k more expensive!! At us lexus site it said starting at 59.000! Which around 18, kd! This w/o the extra accessories plus here its fully equipped, and then add u.s taxes :s so 25 is expensive i agree but ain’t much difference from u.s

ok the funniest offer are by the Dodge Charger when they put in the news paper every day for like 6 month limited time offer 6900 or something i can’ recall the price but the point is they actually put the normal price and put aside special offer?!!! WTF where is the consumer protection here? or when VW does the same?!

I got a IS-F from the states 2 years ago for 64k + tax (not including shipping) and that’s around 19KWD so that would be a 6,000 KWD difference, still a good amount of money but its certainly not 10,000 Mark, check your facts again mate…

last time i checked the GTR price was in before 2 months the dealer told me it’s about 38,000 kd i was like 0_O

Maybe Audi’s are priced so low because they have nearly zero aftermarket resale value.
A8L 2009, less than 13K – and a friend was offered 8,500 KD for it as trade in value at BMW. He was offered 9,000 at Audi.
