Jacksen

Jackson

My friend found this empty bottle of Jacksen on the road and took a picture of it. I thought Jacksen was banned from the market back in 1996 but I guess that was just a rumor. I wonder how many readers here know what Jacksen is used for…

update: oops its Jacksen not Jackson.

Having fun?

It’s shocking how little there is to do past 9pm in Kuwait, the 6th richest country in the World.

Kuwait.. The 6th richest country in the world? Are you on crack? It’s not even part of the G8, and the poorest country in the G8 has over a trillion dollars. Kuwait doesn’t even have a GDP of $100 Billion.

Getting High on a thursday night with cheap cologne, I Guess! The Gulferians are well know for consuming this stuff.

Kuwait is the 6th richest PER CAPITA of the kuwaiti population. That means, the kuwaitis have money through the wazoo, while the immigrant workers are not even a bit well off.

As for JAckson, you can see it in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh A LOT! You can also find other brands. Hasawi is the center for it. But now days, it is easier to find home distilled alcohol which doesnt smell and taste weird like Jackson. Well…it smells and tastes weird…but not as much. Plus the fact that it is made in some bangali’s bathtub isnt pleasing.

btw, here is something weird… the tag says “made in kuwait”. so, could it be the soul purpose of producing this colognes is selling it to those who like getting drunk?

WoW!!!! Thats unbelievable!!! This stuff is dangerous man!! Who in his right mind would drink a perfume?

Jacksen (not Jackson). Kuwait Perfume Factory.

Didn’t know we had a perfume factory in Kuwait.

i remember it as JagSon

only had it once and this guy prepared it well mixing moussey and soda.
i remember an urban legend that if your caught drunk u only had to show him the perfum bottle and he would set u free.

well jacksEn or not, there’s still plenty of jacksOn left. Although if you walk around salmyia you’ll see lots of huge red label and occasionally gin. God I mean there’s alot of alcohol in kuwait, why not just make it legal.

i think the only reason most students in kuwait drink is cause we’re deprived, if it was freely available, no one would care too much…

It will affect your eyesight and liver function, because it has a lot of methyl alcohol (the bad type),, but when a case of Hanna Mashi costs KD 600 what the hell can one do!

well, don’t know anyone who’s tried jacksen, but there’s the home made stuff going around, tastes like shit, but gives you the buzz, but you never know if it’s safe or not…

It is really sad that Kuwait has no freedom to choose whether to consume alcohol, hence why people resort to drinking perfume and computer cleaner fluid.

Kuwait is light years behind her neighbours in terms of development, status, freedom of choice….

I was once in Kuwait, its a shame, a country with such huge potential is just getting left in the dirt.

Don’t you compare yourselves with Dubai and look enviously at what future they are building?

very funny how the picture looks like the guy on the red label bottle..a guy with a stick and a hat…coincidence??

as for sad kuwait….u think we’re light years away cause we dont have alcohol in kuwait??..ppl in dubai dont have the right to put a ballot in a box..let them start doing that then maybe there’s an argument..that’s if there are any emaratis living there in the first place

@Hi ; it’s nothing to do with alcohol and being light years behind. It’s about freedom of choice.

Please tell me, with all your “democracy” where has it got you?

Kuwait is so far behind it’s frightening.

Are you kidding?! I’ve had the pleasure to live all around the world because of my dads job and I can’t see Kuwait as being far behind any of the countries I’ve lived in and I’m not just saying that because I’m Kuwaiti. Please don’t give me the freedom of choice crap because if you’re going to star with that, whats the point in having laws at all? Might as well give people the freedom of choice to kill one another, or speed, or do drugs oh but wait, that would mean ALL the countries in the world are lightyears behind! Including yours! The law against alcohol is there to protect people. I have no objection to people consuming alcohol, btu I must say the Kuwaiti youths are already causing enough trouble with speeding etc. I wonder what they’d do if they had alcohol to top it off.. Im pretty sure there’d be a large death toll around here.

LOL they even have a perfume called “One Man Spirit” on their site LOL hmm wonder what thats alluding to?

Abeer, don’t be naïve. It’s not about the alcohol.

What has Kuwait achieved in the last 15 years, despite its huge wealth?

Instead of making itself a business and financial hub for the region (its location is incredible) its slept and did nothing whilst all other surrounding countries moved on.

When was the last time Kuwait ever announced anything of interest?

Where’s your media city, sports city, Dubai Land, Palm Project, The World? You don’t even have a decent 5 star hotel or beach club that you can be proud of.

That’s why most every weekend you see the planes packed full of Kuwaitis and their families heading to Dubai.

When was the last time you saw packed planes coming to Kuwait for a visit?

abeer a – your arguments do not hold any water,, why is there not many accidents in Scandinavia where people (drink)!
better stick to proper education at all grades from day 1 of your life till the day you pass on..
tahiyyati,

You should really adapt to a country’s law, the country shouldn’t adapt to your needs. And as far as I’m concerned Kuwait gives you plenty of freedom, if you want alcohol you’ve got the choice of taking a risk and sneaking it in; or just getting out of the country, get the alcohol, get drunk, and come back if you wanted to =) I don’t really care if Kuwait might decide to legalize it, it’s all up to it’s officials really.

TanGo, the only reason there’s so many accidents in Kuwait is because over here, you get the license first, and then learn to drive… If you wanted to that is. Wasta/Was6a <3

Tango I was insinuating that accidents would INCREASE! Some kids are pretty stupid around here thinking that speeding and drifting is cool, you give them alcohol and theyll be drink driving, speeding and drifting. Great combination.
Sad sad – I agree! I believe Kuwait should be making the most of its resources, you know other than our oil. It is a shame and I’m hoping with the younger generation coming in, we’ll be able to change things. But that does not make our country lightyears away OR without freedom. I was arguing those points. And btw may I ask you, who spends holidays in their own country? The whole point is you leave to visit other places. And people leaving to visit Dubai? Let them! But as you can see they always come back! 🙂

well said abeer.
Sad sad kuwait- “whilst all other surrounding countries moved on.” umm by surrounding countries, which exactly are you referring to? Kuwait’s neighbours, such as Saudi Arabia… which hasn’t exactly moved on, i mean women are still forced to cover up, can’t drive, can’t vote.. etc etc. The only thing Kuwait is lagging behind in is the whole alcohol consumption thing.. Kuwait has everything else, and as a small country, is still building and working on itself. After all, just less than 18 years ago Kuwait was completely destroyed.. And as for the 5 star resorts you’re speaking of.. umm have you even BEEN to Kuwait? Where do I start with the 5 star hotels.. the Hilton resort, the SAS- the list is endless.
You’re saying Kuwait is so far behind, but compared to which neighbouring country exactly? Maybe the Emirates but that’s all I can think of.

Ariaaa i completely forgot about the hilton resort! That ones amazzzzzzzzzing! One of the best in the world no doubt.

Lollololololololololol

Abeer. The Hilton kuwait is one of the best in the world ?

Hahahahahah. How old are u? Have u ever been outside Kuwait?

Drinking alcohol is ILLEGAL and see how many people drink and how many accidents and rape is in the country…now think what happens if it becomes legal???!
no way inshalla it stays illegal at least we can save a few more lives…because il 5arab eb hal deera is increasing we dont wana add more to it!!!
And development and technology and openess doesnt mean u have to make alcohol 7allal..open ur minds…

Alla ya7fe’6ech ya kuwaitna

I advice people who are complaining about Kuwaits freedom and all to just leave and go somewhere else.. 🙂

one of the best yes.. there’s hundreds that are nicer no doubt, but it is a really nice resort. ive been lucky enough to live in spain, lebanon, australia and visit tons of countries around the world, and i’ve been to a lot of 5 star hotels and i can honestly say its one of the best from experience.

sharam funny yeah I live outside of Kuwait 🙂
The hilton is huge and it really is amazing! Come down to Australia NOTHING compares to it at all! I’ve travelled everywhere and I must say its one of the best I’ve seen. Have you been around? Or jsut happy sitting at home laughing at the things we have?
And I’m 18.

ive seen tons of jacksens in the mangaf area across from hilton…theres parties and shit there at night i would guess
