Not sure why it took them so long but Jazeera Airways now has online check-in. What this means is you could now choose your seats and check-in to your flight before arriving to the airport and then just drop off your luggage at their fast baggage-drop counter instead of waiting in the long line with everyone else. Great. Its also free of charge unlike Fly Dubai where they charge you i think 10 KD per seat in each direction.
Fly Dubai is the worst airlines I have EVER taken. Never going on that again.
True. Their baggage policy is a joke.
I dont mind the airline, i just dont like the airport they fly in and out of
Same. I don’t even feel like I am in Dubai in Terminal 2; however, FLYDUBAI will move to a new terminal apparently. They were cleaver, they put all those weird discount carriers in Terminal 2 so they were out of the way so-to-speak. I think Jazeera is flying the wrong planes for this market which has a growing obesity problem and the apprehension to monitor the size of carry-ons with that tiny little aisle which some (many) people have to walk sideways to walk through. Wataniya flew more appropriate planes for this market. But these planes are available, Jazeera, just call ALAFCO at 99ALAFCO.
Momo even Wataniya have the same aircraft it’s the inside seating configuration different.
Jazeera being a low cost airline will try to accommodate as many ppl where as Wataniya was luxury that’s why they had quiet a room.
The airport is horrible and a joke. I’m Kuwaiti but my wife’s not so we have to wait in line for her visa, people cutting in line and a massive wait and just no organization at all.
Hate to admit it but I told them I’m Kuwaiti and they let me skip the line lol
Fly Dubai is why I’m always skeptical when people say “Dubai is the best in the world!” No, they’re just good at hiding the parts that aren’t.
According to AB today, Dubai was rated as the best place to live in the MidEast and they are correct, I live there. Terminal 2 was a clever way of pushing those ‘offbeat’ carriers that no one has ever heard of, off the beaten path. It is horrible, but as someone stated above, FLYDUBAI will move to a better terminal, at least let’s hope. The model is good and is the most successful low-budget carrier in the region, as far as the profit margin. They are constantly adding new routes that cater to the market. Anyone who is with someone with a GCC passport can go to the GCC line. You need to expand your immigration section to add more ‘All Nationalities’ lines in your airport.
We went to the line, they sent us back for visas. There is no GCC line for visas as most GCC nationals never need to get one.
I think the quality of FLYDUBAI’s product is better, especially compared to Jazeera Airways. Jazeera needs a facelift – they need to upgrade their planes, improve the look of their website (I suggest they hire the guy who did Wataniya’s a week before they crashed) and they need to address their presentation. He tried to get out of KIA by building his own terminal – great – and I suggest they continue the fight for that or are your MP’s too interested in going after moral issues like forcing all women to wear hijabs? I say to these MP’s bring it on….I ain’t wearin it!
When did MPs ever force all women to wear Hijab? It was only for the 4 women MPs and it never passed.
I think it’s regarding this https://www.menafn.com/qn_news_story_s.asp?storyid=1093492022
You can delete me, but in a moment of time it was posted. Islamics tend to go straight for the women’s juggler veins when they have political power. I feel that because they are not qualified to handle the critical issues such as the development plan they concentrate on ‘moral’ issues. What they fail to understand is that in a democratic society, all (peoples) have a right to dress, speak and choose as they will within the constructs of the legal system. This could have been predicted and is not at all surprising.
I think you want someone to force you to wear the hijab, which is why you’re speaking like this. Some people like to rebel even there is nothing to rebel about. Bring on the oppression! so that we can rebel! lol
Sorry, couldn’t help but laugh at the “juggler vein” comment.
Maybe the MP’s will head for womens’ clown arteries next.
🙂
Haha well that’s new, it’ll never pass though and I hope this means they won’t be re-elected as they’re wasting their time on shit like this.
Sarah what’s the link between MPs and these airlines? These are pvt companies !!
I want more regulation in the market. I think they should never charge of seats, this should be illegal. It is a sneaky way of increasing the fare.
It’s the same with other airlines. British Airways you pay 10kd per seat or 30kd if it’s emergency exit seat.
This makes Kuwait Airways look like a visionary.
but notice the verification of online boarding pass???
They still need to clean out their planes, last time I went on Jazeera their leather chairs seemed pretty… “worn out”.
They should have an APP by now.
Sara dont give a bad image and lies about islamist, islam if impelmented is the correct way talking about true islam
I wish Jazeera gets to have the Royal terminal which Wataniya had got built, for their operations. Curb side check-in would be a dream but we ain’t gonna get it. And finally, can Jazeera truly be branded a discount carrier since they have the Business plus and all ? It’s poignant that an airline calling itself Jazeera does not have its namesake; all the Jazeera group of satellite channels as part of its in-flight entertainment. They should at least carry Jazeera News and Jazeera International English.
Compared to Ryan Air, Air Arabia and several other legacy airlines (Kuwait Airways and Air India included), it feels like the Emirates of sorts, and most certainly, the Emirates of all budget carriers.
Jazeera (the airline), is run by the Boodai Group (same people with City Bus). It has no relation to Jazeera News, which is based out of Qatar.
@fly Dubuy, you are thinking correctly. They should have better entertainment for the guests. Someone in the MidEast should do OSN in the seats, but it will probably be in the future plans of UAE carriers. Jazeera Airways needs to address their poor in-flight entertainment.
we started as low cost carrier.
we realised that a premium airline has a better future than low cost airline.
so our co. is trying to upgrade itself.
changes will come
should take some time.
we are a private co. and not funded by any govt.
what we can do to upgrade and expand is from what we save (after our current income)
so it might take us some time to give you utmost satisfaction regarding all your travel requirements.
@Jazeera Staff – Do not relent on continuing your fight for a separate terminal. You deserve to be allocated government funded land for this project. You do need to upgrade your planes. A very popular plane in the region is the 320neo which Qatar Airways bought 25(?) at the Dubai Airshow. Also, you need to work on your presentation if you want to become a premium airline because to continue to appear to be a discount carrier. Your in-flight entertainment needs improvement and you need to better train your flight attendents. On my last flight DXB-KWT there were two handicapped persons on this flight. One had assistants and the parents bought him a business class seat because he needed room the other man had no legs and he had to walk on the stumps of his legs to get to his economy 20B seat. Your stewardess panicked when she saw him walking down the aisle, I gave him my aisle seat 7C. I would have upgraded him to business. I am continuously seeing people who are handicapped, aged people in wheel-chairs, and psychologically challenging situations on my flights from Dubai. They need to be trained to handle all types of scenerios with passengers. You need a facelift to put it bluntly and you need the correct management staff to do that.
shame its only out of Kuwait airport, flying back requires that you check in at the aiport.
Jazerra Airways isn’t a low cost carrier anymore, Jazeera has joined IATA and ticket prices has increased just like normal airlines or marginally less and they started offering inflight free cold sandwiches but Jazeera still uses the bus service in KWI instead of gates to spare the push back costs.
Kuwait airport seems to handle large volumes of people pretty well compared to the endless and very slow moving queues waiting for the retina scan at Dubai airport.
@ Jazeera Staff:
Overall you have an amazing product. It would help matters having a check in facility townside and coaches to ferry guests to and from various nodals in Kuwait to the airport.
decent airline you actually get peanuts if the stewards feel sorry for u ;p,,, but no seriously what tookem so long to do the online thing? thats so 2003!
