Jeep Dealer Rules

I always complain about crappy service in Kuwait but this time I am going to talk about amazing service in Kuwait.

I was leaving Souk Sharq today after lunch when my Jeep Wrangler wouldn’t start… my battery was dead. So I called up the Jeep Road Assist which I got for free when I purchased the car last year. The woman on the line took my info and told me she would call me back right away. I hang-up and she calls back from a +974 number. She told me to hold and then put me on a conference call with a tow truck guy here in Kuwait. I told him where I was located and he told me he would be there in 20 minutes. 15 minutes later he arrives and starts my car for me. I then drive to the Jeep quick service garage on the Gulf Road with my AC off and the windows open because Road Assist guy told me to do this so I don’t risk shutting down the car. The drive to the garage felt like driving through hell as you can imagine.

With the burning wind cooking my ears I was thinking on my way how I was going to cause a large scene at the garage cuz the battery wasn’t just dead it was like all oxidized and shit like it was 100 years old. That shouldn’t happen to a 1 year old car and I wasn’t going to pay for it. Anyway I get to the garage and I explain to the service manager my Jeep battery was dead and that I also wanted to do the 20K service, he quickly calls another guy over and tells him to get someone from the Jeep parts so he could see the battery and then replace it under warranty. I stood there shocked, I didn’t even mention to the guy that I was pissed about the battery and that I wasn’t going to pay for it. I was all ready to argue, fight and send emails out to every Jeep board member complaining about how I got stiffed but the manager didn’t give me a chance to get pissed. He told me not to worry they would take care of everything and service my car and have it ready for me to pick up tomorrow. I thanked the manager a lot and told him their excellent service never stops to amaze met.

On my way back to work in the cab I get a phone call from a +973 number, some guy in a weird accent tells me he is with Jeep and was wondering if everything is ok and if someone came to help me out. I told him yeah everything is great and I dropped my car off at the garage. He asked me what time the tow truck came, I told him he came 15 minutes after I spoke to him. He thanked me and I thanked him and hung up the phone.

This is not the first time the Jeep dealers have been great to me. Since the day I purchased the car I had the salesman call me to make sure I had no problems, I had the showroom manager call to check up on my car and every 6 months I get a call from a +974 number asking me if I have had any kind of problem. Its hard to believe there is a company that provides service this good here in Kuwait or anywhere else for that matter. They are just superb.

It’s good that Jeep is not from Kuwait , otherwise you would still be next to your car waiting for the tow truck to arrive (Assuming that someone at the service centre does even bother to answer the phone in the first place – that’s a daring assumption)…

so when is behbehanni going to actually take over chrysler service? i am so fucking sick of al mulla

I like your posts about good service mark! You can rarely find those anywhere in Kuwait, but when its positive, its better than any ad ever!

and holla, I heard they’r doing it now, Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge will be a Mulla/Behbehani thing

Yup they are now called Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company (mbmcq8.com)

This is worrying since Al Mulla are known for their crappy service. The service manager assured me though Al Mullas negativity won’t rub on to the Behbehani dealership…

Al Mulla parts rob you blind, my friend has spent more then 3500 KD on fixing over the past three years for a Dodge Durango that cost him 7000KD! He promised he will never buy from Al Mulla again! I cant blame him!

My friend just loves his wrangler, its yellow too! The worst thing in his wrangler is that, the juices in my stomach are reaching the back of my throat everytime he drives it after us having dinner of something.

It really never felt that smooth, but I shit you not, everytime I am in it, its just alot of fun, driving it rocks, especially manual trans placed on your left.

Hi guys i’m new to this blog. i just want to say that i love your posts mark, especially that i’m new to Kuwait.

I was actually thinking of buying a Dodge Charger. but everybody tells me that the agent is shitty and will let you down all the time, that’s beside the “robbery”. you think i should choose a car based on the agent or is i actually like the car or not? because this is what i see everybody doing in Kuwait: choosing the agent before the car!! πŸ™‚

Good Afternoon, Actually came across this site by accident and some of the comments are ideal for myself to better understand how our customers really feel about the new Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge distributor, Al Mulla & Bebehani Motor Company. Since joining MBMC ( as we affectionally call it) on the 17th of June 2006, as the GM, I am happy to hear from customers, and although cannot promises anything free, I can promise that any genuine concerns from customers always get a fair hearing and will try to resolve to 100% delight if possible. Please this is not an advert for my company but it is neccesary to say who I am, to better understand my right of response. Chris Henderson

Hi
Came across this site while searching for Mulla Bhebhani number. I had given my Jeep for 10K service 2 days back and yet my jeep is not ready. My experience with Mulla Bhebhani is exactly opposite of what mark has written here. I bought a Grand Cherokee 10 months back. The car had some problem the day i took it out from the showroom.
The next day the car was back in their garage. The test drive car performance was excellent. However the service was horrible. When i went to complain about the car to the showroom manager in Rai. They gave me a car replacement but the showroom manager tells me that he is doing a favour to me by giving this service and It i was to buy a Ford car they would not even take a complain once the car is out of showroom. I made a complain in Dubai about the attitude but no body replied to date about the complain.
Even when it comes to servicing the car they say it will take them 2-3 days for the normal servicing of the car (i.e change in oil and filter and do normal checks). They told me it will cost me 50 KD to do the 10K service. Dont know why is it so expensive.. I hope some action is taken to improve the service. And they employ better staff who knows atleast how to talk to their customers.

Hi Everybody
I just happened to view your quotes, and its true the customer service is really bad in almulla behbehani, ofcourse was pretty good when jeep was with bebehani. I was a staff in bebehani jeep motors co, and when they merged with mulla, I resigned because they are the no:1 bad service in kuwait. I dont want to give shit to my valued customers. Al mulla never care for their customers or staff, and the GM and the service manager in al-rai doesent knows their job properly.

Hello,

I have Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004 and i have problem with Death Wobble, can any one suggest me how much it will to fix this problem and where is the alternate place to fix this other than Jeep.
