A reader emailed me to tell me that while collecting newspapers and magazines from the late 50’s he found an article about schools in Kuwait in the 1960’s. He managed to scan and email me the article (it’s a few pages long) and I put them together in a single PDF to make it easier to download and view. The article is in Arabic and here is the [Link]

Love it. Love looking at old pictures of Kuwait. There was so much culture that has sadly been lost today.
I wish we have an education system as solid as that, 10 years from now.

Should the title not be “Kuwait Schools in the 1960s” rather than “Kuwait School’s in the 1960s”?

in page 5 of the PDF file, the photo of the Kuwaiti flag (the morning assembly) its taken in Shuwaikh elementary school in Shuwaikh residential or Called Shuwaikh B, they have renamed the school to become “abdulaziz Hussain” also the photo in page 7 of the PDF, the gym photo also taken in the same school, I used to go to this school in the late 70’s early 80’s
In 1960’s I lived in AHMADI, studied in Fahaheel ,and Pakistani Private school MISS FATIMA SCHOOL.Anyone knows that time or remember?
I lived in Kuwait 1959-63 and went to Shuwaik school. I remember driving through Fahaheel on our way to Mena Abdullah My father was head of Aminoil office in Kuwait City. We lived near American Embassy
