A reader just pointed me towards this old Kuwaiti movie from the 70’s called the “Wolves Don’t Eat Meat”. Supposedly the movie is banned but I have no idea why. It looks like one weird and trippy movie! Where can I get it from? Does anyone know if it is banned and if yes why?

Very silly and not understandable movie! You don’t know what the story is all about plus it’s banned because of the nudity scene in it 🙂

Sniping with an AK-47.. only wish it was that accurate in COD! Thats some pretty dam realistic chasing at the end.

It has a full nudity scene and a soft sex scene featuring mohammed almansour. Other than that its a dumb movie. I agree very trippy.

It’s actually an Egyptian movie but it was filmed in Kuwait. It’s banned cuz believe it no it has nudity. One of the actresses appears completely naked in a couple of scenes. The movie is actually very funny because it’s the Egyptian attempt to make a james bond movie, which failed miserably in my opinion. I found the movie on planetarabica.com under old movies but I could get the exact link.

It is an Egyptian movie, filmed in Kuwait. It is banned because of nudity, except that it’s not only ONE actress that appears nude in it, but two (if you manage to get the uncut version, the famous Egyptian actress Nahed Al-Sharif does appear nude – TWICE).
The Kuwaiti Actor is not involved in any of the nude scenes. He doesnt even show up much in the movie, but yet still is a main character in the story line. He does get a couple kisses though.
It’s a very, very VERY lame action movie. The story line is not easily understandable.
I couldnt resist buying the DVD (the full version) just to see why it was banned lol. I regret every fils I paid.

Saw it about 10 years back, to this day nobody has ever explained to me what the purpose of the pigeon was in the “sex scene”. was it supposed to be sexy? erotic?

I think there was 2 or 3 actors not sure but there were Kuwaiti actors and one was involved in a nude scene.

And while it does have some nudity, its really funny (not intended to be)… The effects/scenario is just funny
I remember a funny scene in the film where it was a party and there were a bunch a of people in badly made disdasha’s (it’s a low budget egyptian film) smoking hash and some naked chicks dancing to weird psychedelic 60’s music. The kuwaiti guy in it is the almansour guy but i think he plays a tiny part of a maid or a driver or something insignificant which i thought was really ironically hilarious. He is however a part of the plot.
I saw the movie long time in the 80’s. The director fooled the Q8i government and inserted the nude scenes. The Q8i actors claimed the same story.

Is is only me, or does anyone else find it funny that the police cars at the beginning of the movie look like the taxis found in alexandria, egypt?
This is a cult film. its not meant to be taken seriously. It’s also not an Egyptian film, they speak Egyptian because they wanted a wide Arab release but that didn’t work (it was banned in Kuwait and in Egypt). However it was played in Lebanon and Jordan almost every summer for the Gulf tourists. The film is a joint Kuwaiti-Lebanese production. The director is Lebanese, he later made Sayedat al Akmar al Sawda.
I have it on DVD, the movie is so cheesy and stupid non of the actors ever admit being in the movie.
Well it’s still better than those funny porn dubs from lebanon with Om Kholthom music !

I have waited since 1971 to tell someone that I was in that film. I was one of the ‘hitmen’ who took out the woman in the hotel bedroom. Was also involved in the car chase around Kuwait City and ended up being shot dead in an abattoir. Pretty much ended my short lived acting career!
I have very fond memories of Kuwait and Ahmadi in particular. Thank you for putting this archive together.
