I passed by Marina Mall today to pick up my MacBook from the Apple store Digits. My computers logic board died and last month they told me they would fix it under warranty but it would take around 2-4 weeks for the part to arrive. Well it ended up taking 3 weeks and my Macbook is back from the dead. The whole thing only cost me KD10 which I believe was for shipping or customs. Now I’ve got three completely different sized laptops. I’ve got the 15″ MacBook Pro for work which I am finding extremely enormous. I’ve got my Asus Eee which I am finding super tiny compared to my MacBook Pro. Finally I have my perfectly sized 13″ MacBook which lies somewhere in the middle. It feels good to be back typing again on my MacBook.

Great!
Are you going to sell one? I am interested to take MacBook or Pro. What do you say?
Congrats 😉 great to have the macbook back huh..!!
LOL, I’m considering changing my 15″ Macbook Pro for the 17″ super hi-res one… there just aren’t enough vertical pixels for my liking on the 15″. When I do that I may have to get one of those Eee’s as well, for when i’m on the move.
Glad you got it all fixed up :o)
Nope I don’t want to sell it.
Those who have A LOT of money $$ and they don’t know what to spend it on, they will end up buying some birds and set them free 😛
:: You are not selling your Asus (cough cough) ?
Another disadvantage of an Apple IMC, takes forever to get the parts, at least they are not as bad as the ones here in Saudi 🙂
I paid the same, I love digits! great
10 KD this is good.
I bought my Macbook pro 2 years ago from Amazon, after two weeks I got big problem cost me to exchange the Logic Board with new one!!
none of the apple reseller in Kuwait accepted to fix it under warranty.
except!! the one at the Marina Mall. It toke them 5 weeks with 40 KD cost for shipping the board.
Im glad that you have it back, and Im glad that I got my new Mac pro just yesterday 😀
If you think that’s bad, see what this guy went through:

yeah I’v heard of those situation from some Saudi guys whom studying here in U.S. one of them said that “its a huge mistake to buy any apple computers in Saudi Arabia” and after reading that link things became more obvious 🙂
thanks gad we have some good resellers comparing with other Arabian countries
thanks Khaled.
that did have a good conclusion, kind of:

one of the stores in Riyadh, iTechia was sick from dealing with IMC so they import directly from an Apple distributor in the US.. And they handle the repairs as well and their machines have a Global warranty, not IMC, which is good 🙂
I don’t blame them on that, when I got the Macbook pro problem I called IMC Dubai. I spoke to Indian female who said “Im sorry we don’t Fix!!! we can send you to work shop which we guarantee their work quality” I was like WHAT THE ****!! @@
LOL of course, that what happened before contacting the Marina Mall apple shop 🙂
Mac has many bugs (thats why it’s insecure, but viruses = you get them because you’re stupid) and by “you” I mean anyone has viruses ! 😛 anyway, so, Mac is just like FreeBSD so I dont see any reason of getting a man, just tell me 3 good reasons Mike to get mac over freeBSD!
NOTE: even FreeBSD aint good, that why i love Linux Mint and Ubuntu Linux 😛
ya I guess DIGITS in marina mall is the best apple reseller in kuwait, they have the best services ever..
