The gas station on the Gulf Road right next to Shaab Park in Salmiya is nearly done. I passed by tonight and they had the lights on and everything looks pretty cool. I think there will also be a small mini market at this gas station which should prove to be very popular since it’s right on the Gulf Road. This used to be the gas station I passed by the most since it’s on my way back from work so I’m glad it’s finally opening up again.

Alas, a gas station with more than just gas. Always wanted to grab a snack while refueling.
What’s “Alfa”? Is it supposed to stand for Alpha, the first letter in the Greek alphabet, as in “A” in English? Is this Al-Oula new brand?
their site is pretty nice too- http://www.alfa.com.kw
It actually is surprisingly. Would you know who did it?
Yes! Finally! It is near home and I was pretty inconvenienced when they closed it, especially when the one in AlShaab followed soon after.
Looks good. They finally got their act together.
Mark… Sorry but gas is delivered in cylinders in Kuwait. These stations sell petrol and diesel 🙂 It’s a PETROL station, people.
It depends on who u r, American, British or German 🙂
Gas, petrol or filling station ….

The term “gas station” is mostly used in the US and in Canada, where the fuel is known as “gasoline” or “gas” as in “gas pump”.
Gas, petrol, filling station is not the issue .. Opening a new alfa ( ma7a6a ) is the main topic 🙂
For me , i wish ; all el ma7a6aat <- just to be in the safe side :p – turned to alfa .. Its just great !!
ALFA is a brand name for soor fuel marketing company we have 40 stations across kuwait . we are also doing 3 more new stations you can check them on our website . http://www.alfa.com.kw
I only see gas pumps in that picture. What store, what snacks? where?
It’s out of frame on the far left
@Mark & @tasty:

finally Kuwait is catching on. Bahrain started building these a couple of years ago and now Kuwait is caught up with the modern world when it comes to “CONVENIENCE”! Yes, pun intended!
It was a bad attempt of a joke on my part 🙂
I’m happy to see the improvements in our ma7a6as. Keep up the good work Soor & Oula.
The Shaab Station is going to be one of the Icon stations in Kuwait comsidering the existing stations we have.
This station will have a Mini market that will sell the conveniences plus a Fast Food restaurant to satisfy your hunger on the go.

Rajeev.
Great. I always used to fill up there and pass by my favorite Chinese restaurant ,China Hut near the mosque.
Its Gas which is derived from petroleum that is put into our cars. Cant call it petrol cause petrol comes from petroleum which could mean petroleum jelly, parafin wax, lubricants….
Also those little cylinders, contain Propane, not gas 🙂
I passed by the station this morning. Looks great! I really wish all Alfa stations would have the same layout.
Oh great it will have a FASTFOOD outlet as if there aren’t enough of them yet in Kuwait. Just stick to the petrol!
If you guys install a digital air pump for the tires then I will have everything I need!
a5eeran ? each time i have to get some cash i had to go to that gas station on 4th ring before batreeq !
Mark, never use the tire pressure gauges at a gas station. Your tires are hot by the time you get to a station. You must measure cold tire pressure when your car has been idle (and even out of the sun) for at least 4 hours. Google it
Adam i don’t have a choice
I just got the confirmation from our Marketing dept that the Station will be equipped with a Digital Air Pump and will have an ATM machine as well.
Thanks.
Rajeev.
great, everything i need 🙂
its about time, we have been working on this since 2007
the company changed hands so many times, we are glad it is getting built
to about 80% of the original concept, lets see how that canopy turns out
Thats great mark… i was there a few months ago to see the site.
