New Pizza Places

Chocolate and Chocolate posted about a new pizza place that’s opening up called The Upper Crust Pizzeria. It’s a Boston based franchise from what I’ve read so maybe someone who’s studied in Boston could tell us if it’s any good. They don’t say where they’re opening but based on the picture they’ve posted (check above) it looks like the Bidaa area. It’s opening up in Abu al Hasaniya’s “The Village”.

The other pizza place that’s opening up is the Lebanese chain Margherita which is opening up in Arabella.

Looks like pizza’s are the next big thing.

Update: A third pizza place is opening called Homeslice in Shaab.

Yuumyy, upper crust pizza used to be a small pizza place in a historic building in one of boston’s famous Newburry Street, it is an average pizza place and they are famous for their “thin crusts” that have a crunchy feel in every bite and their fresh ingredient toppings that u can mix and match based on ur taste. This place brings soo many memories! Cant wait to taste here in q8 (hope its the same )

Is “Arabella” supposed to read the same way as Marbella? In any case, Arabella would probably want to upgrade the copy on their website to be more credible..

Mark: Its next to fintas and Grain.

The place its being built in is called ‘The Village’ , theres other cafes/shops being built there too that i see when i drive by.

This will be 2 mins from my house. Not sure how I feel about that, the neighbourhood is quiet and I like it that way…

I heard about “The Village” I also heard that the shops having problems with the government about getting a commercial license to operate since it is built in a residential area.

this plaza is near houre house its in Bolhasani, the qurain bridge take left and there are new several of resturants are opening

ill make sure no customers show up ..so if ur coming i will guarantee to egg you, key your car, and maybe slash your tires. I live in the area and im against this project. ppl who dont live in bolhasani are not welcome

I get what your saying its going to be really busy for the people heading in and out of home.. but shda3wa..everyone is welcome ne where.. no need to be so harsh.

Hahahahaha! I’m against the project too, bas shta3waaa! Take it out on the Baladiya, not the customers.

I live in Abu Hasaniya. It is looking nice for now. There is a “Nestle” cookie place opening up also in the same building and “Azteca” a mexican restaurant. And some other stuff but they didnt put any posters

I study in Boston and I regularly order from this place. I wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza in Boston but it would definitely be the best pizza place in Kuwait.

I hope this philosophy gets to the restaurants owners mentality in kuwait and we start seeing more locals being chefs. I’m tired of soulless food.

I studied in Boston and its pretty good. But interestingly enough, the Newbury Street branch in Boston has designed by a Kuwaiti.

I thought the shadow of the street lamp is part of their logo (next to the opening soon text), before I recognize that there’s another lamp on the front. 😛

I studied in Boston and Upper Crust was hands down the best pizza. It has several locations in Boston, across the US, and even one in Istanbul. Solo Pizza is great but Upper Crust is the traditional pizza in slices so its different, and it travels well which is what you need for Delivery.
