According to the Lurkerz blog the PS Vita is now available in Kuwait in Rihab complex. According to his post the PS Vita (Wifi+3G) with two games is being sold for KD230 and KD180 without any games. For more information check out his post [Here]

unfortunately, Mrkaz Kuwaiti only brought 4 and they were instantly sold out. my guess is, most of the shops will import it now as there was massive orders for it , and thx for the re-post

Nah, don’t want it. Got plenty of games to play, and I’ll just wait for the next iteration like I did with the PSP.
And if I did want it, I definitely wouldn’t pay 230kd for it.
Two thoughts.
First, the price is ridiculously high, you could import it yourself and it’d probably be much cheaper. It’s supposed to retail at $250, but they’re selling it for nearly $840.
Secondly, Since it was only released in Japan, aren’t all the games in Japanese? Is it worth it? You must be a hardcore Sony fan to purchase this now instead of waiting a two month’s to get it at a much cheaper rate.
It retails for $250 if you get the Wifi version, the 3G version is more expensive. This is in the US as well, Japanese prices are higher – The Japanese Wifi+3G one is actually $400, and if you add in shipping it’s getting close to $450.
Still being overcharged but yeah the Vita is just really damn expensive.
Yeah all the games will be in Japanese but I think the Vita is region free so you can play US games when they’re out.
And I misread the post, it’s 250 KD with two games, which is still a lot. So they’re basically selling the Vita at twice the price it’s retailing in Japan.
Man, they must make a lot of money in Rihab.

Like I said, Japan is more expensive. Japanese Vita alone is $400, then the games and shipping will probably easily exceed $500
According to Amazon Japan, the same model PS Vita is 28,256 yen, which is $362.
I think we’re all in agreement that the Vita is being sold at a ridiculous high price here.

Plus this is the Japanese version, who knows about regions and such later on?
I would rather wait, and still not buy it from Kuwait. ;p Probably gonna order it for 250$ with the 30$ starter pack. It would have a bigger library of games by then. ;p
I think you guys are forgetting that whoever is purchasing this right now has they money to “waste” on it…So I don’t think they care what version or region it is…They probably don’t care 🙂

This is the Japanese version; the US/EU version is coming out in Feb. 2012. Be warned.
If you remember when the PS3 (Jap. Version) came out in Rihab it cost KD 500 at first.
