So we can now mark off Red Lobster and Olive Garden from our restaurants we need to have in Kuwait list. What’s still missing? Wendy’s, A&W, Five Guys, Jack in the Box, White Castle, Arby’s, Cheese Cake Factory, In-N-Out and Taco Bell. [Link]

When will this crappy American suburban franchise epidemic ever end??!!!!
Zaydoun: Please check list above 😉
Cheese cake factory plzzzzzzzzzz missing
it
Olive Garden = poison; literally.
Ill take Crystals over white casle…
ewwww
both Red Lobster & Olive Garden are HORRIBLE!!
Bucca di Beppo for Italian .. that is the way to go!!
where will the location be.
Taco Bell is opening next month
@bazaar
Thank you god. My prayers have been answered. Where is it opening?
I’ve had my fair share of crappy good at olive garden and don’t really like it. I do like the salad and breadsticks though, but my family makes the restaurant out to be the holy grail of restaurants, when really, they’re the same as every restaurant where 90% of the food is frozen and canned but they can somehow charge way more for it.
Every Red Lobstor I’ve gone to has been a dump. That and I don’t like seafood so i don’t really have too much of an opinion on it lol. I always ordered chicken fingers when my family wanted to go and they sucked.
Finally Red Lobster 🙂
I LOVE Red Lobster, but with Americana? Are they going to serve clean fresh good sized seafood?
I think we will be served overpriced seafood.
i’ll eat if they aren’t
al shaya
or
homiazi group (kout food group)
taco bell was franished by the kout group
next summer is coming
would about a bbq rib place?
yubiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii n we want cheese cake factory
We need a YogenFruz [waaaay better than pinkberry]
Also, a Dave&Busters – it would at least provide some entertainment other than stuffing our faces.
@mishmisha: yeah, definitely need a Jamba Juice too
Great low class shitty US restaurants coming to Kuwait, woooohooooooooooo! The Olive Garden is a joke!
YAY for Red Lobster!
i heard al shay3 is bringing cheesecake fact in december. dont know if it is true though, hope it is
and go easy on olive garden pple, we get that you guys know italian food lol, but overall olive garden is good for its price. any other “bucca” type italian food is way overpriced, although it is awesome
Dave & Busters would be way over priced here just like that place on top of 360 Mall! Red Lobster isn’t too bad but Olive Garden is a thing of the past just like that waste of space Planet Hollywood!!!! Carrabbas is a much better choice for another Italian franchise here. A Mexican catina(unfortunately minus the alcohol) would be a nice addition here as well, it must have a chef from the States here to monitor the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen just like PF Changs had done.
I always hated the Red Lobster… Olive Garden is fine but it’s American Italian which means lots of oil not much of taste…
I thought the Cheesecake factory was opening soon? I read that somewhere after they started selling their cakes in caribu but i am not sure where
I would want the Magnolia Bakery to arrive to Q8 though… and if anyone is willing to franchise Dubai’s Lime Tree Cafe it would be amazing!
Danderma: Cheesecake Factory has at least one or two cake shops in KSA and are indeed supplying cheesecakes to Caribou. However, I seriously doubt the full fledged resto will be in Kuwait anytime soon.
As for Magnolia Bakery, the cupcakes are crazyyyy good but was disappointed when I went to Bloomingdale’s at Dubai Mall only to find out they didn’t have the ingredients to make MB’s world famous banana pudding 🙁
Cheese Cake factory is already in Kuwait from last three years in a partnership with Caribou coffee….
Babar we don’t care about the cheesecakes, we’re talking about the cheesecake factory restaurant
The cheesecakes at carribou r no why from the original cheesecake factory restaurant, they r incomparable !
SWEET!!! What about Chik-Fil-A and Guthries??!Buffalo Wild Wings? McAlister’s Deli?? All these are in SEC country…. ROLL TIDE!! 😉
Jeff Gordon: TIDE GOT ROLLED 🙂
No in Kuwait cares about SEC country except for Americans like you and I! Chik-Fil-A will never happen because they are too religious(christian)! Closed on Sunday’s, Kuwaiti’s would have it shut down probably!
…crappy American suburban franchise epidemic:
Supply and demand.
Just wish the same would work with booze.
Randy: So did a lot of other teams this past weekend! 😛
Sounds like fun. Yet I believe that they should give it to other groups rather then the usual one who own almost every brand and famous restaurant in Kuwait.
Or maybe new groups with the right leadership and proper training.
Arbys is nasty they should never open it in kuwait.
five guys ftw
You can have the most American of American diners in Kuwait but it still will never be like the west.
Jeff Gordon: yes lots of other teams took beatings but they weren’t the number 1 team in the nation 😛
At this rate, we’ll never have to leave Kuwait to eat at places we once associated with the US/Canada/the West.
Ugh, it’s frustrating to watch everything becoming an international, consumerist franchise.
I don’t understand this rush for US brand, they are soul less and drift away from what a restaurant should be. When are we going to put people, chef and personality at the forefront of the restaurants. Dear friends enjoy the convenience food and standardisation without me. Kuwait will hopefully become more culinary astute in the coming decades 😉
Out of curiosity would anyone be interested in having five guys in Kuwait? Even though we have johnny rockets, burger boutique, slider station etc..
I am really sad my favorit rest RL is not in good hands Americana will ruin it
for me ??
red lobster?? hre i come.. i will be the next angel served you in Red Lobster.. hehehehe in shalah!!!
I cant wait for a Longhorn Steakhouse here. They have the best Steaks Ever. Americana will operate them, anyone know were ?
OLIVE GARDEN AND CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!!!!
